What a surprise today on the Salt River! I spotted a mama otter having what appeared to be a full-blown spa day, rolling around in the dirt like she had zero responsibilities. Meanwhile, her two pups were tucked safely under the brush, probably watching their mom and thinking, “There she goes again.” 😂 I kept my distance, but it was such a fun and unexpected sight!

Mother’s Day on the Salt River with the wild horses is one of those rare kinds of beautiful that doesn’t need anything added to it.

They move through the water like they’ve always known it…steady, unbothered, completely themselves. Hooves splashing, manes catching the light, just existing in a way that feels almost grounding to watch.

Nothing about it is staged or polished. It’s raw, quiet, and real in a way that makes you slow down without even trying. You just sit there and let them be what they are…wild, free, and completely at home in their world. And it feels like enough.

The loss of little Miss Rainna is confirmed. She only made it 5 weeks. 😢😞
