We were thrilled to bring artists of all disciplines together last week at our 3.5 day NYSCA/NYFA Artist as Entrepreneur Program with Saratoga Arts in Saratoga Springs, NY! ⁠

This clip is from an indie pilot for an eight-episode series by Project Director Dylan Kai Dempsey that focuses on rising YouTube star Lucas Skyler. Lucas is charismatic, controversial—and dead. ⁠
⁠
Twelve months after his death, fans gather at an over-the-top One Year Memorial. His two ex-girlfriends agree on only one thing: nobody knows the real Lucas.⁠

Inspired by Dylan Kai Dempsey's personal struggles, it aims to help at-risk teens deal with digital addiction by exploring online identity, internal conflict, and potential redemption.

The New Work Grant supports emerging individual artists and artist collectives of all artistic disciplines in their creation of new work. “New Work” is defined as work that has not been produced or presented to an audience before.

Applicants may submit grant requests ranging from $3,000 to $7,500.

The Homiens Art Prize is a premier international opportunity for artists awarding over $12,000 in unrestricted funding annually. It is open to all art forms and artists internationally.

Designed to be an outstanding catalyst for professional growth, this non-acquisitive prize ensures that artists retain full ownership of their work.

This round, 10 winning artists will exhibit with Homiens, with each receiving an honorarium of $300 and the option to participate in Homiens' artist interview series "The Art of Art: Interviews" and request a letter of recommendation from prize jurors.

Furthermore, up to 200 highly commended artists are celebrated each round across Homiens' media.

Entries close Thursday, October 29, 11:59 PM ET.
