SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Cameron Carnahan is our next senior. He was spent all 4 years in the Select Mixed Choir, 2 years in Tenor/Bass and 1 year helping with Treble choir. While choosing his favorite choir memory he says “this isn’t my favorite, just one of my favorites, but choosing a favorite of all the memories would be impossible” On the Cleveland trip, his junior year, He invited everyone to his hotel room where a bunch of them played Mario Kart. It was a fun opportunity for them them to spend time with their friends. Other hobbies Cameron enjoys besides singing and music, he is a fan of the outdoors. He enjoys camping and hiking. He likes to go for runs, and he used to play soccer and still does for fun when he gets the chance. When asked why someone should join the LMHS choirs he had this to say “It’s a wonderful place to make friends and improve your vocal skills and knowledge. The select choirs are a beautiful opportunity you will never forget”. Cameron plans to major in music education so he can become a choir director and “inspire the next generation like I’ve been inspired by Mrs Baker and my countless other directors and teachers who’ve helped my forward work”. Congratualtions Cameron and wish you all the success in the world. It’s obvious music holds a special place in your heart so always keep singing and inspiring and you will be great.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Our next senior is Maxwell Kuetemeyer. Max has spent 2 yrs in the Select Mixed choir and 1 year in T/B. His all time favorite choir memory is the Cleveland trip from last year, when we went to see “& Juliet” on the off Broadway tour. That was his first professional theatre experience he has had, all thanks to Mrs. Baker. The other hobby Max has at the school and is phenomenal at is performing in the theatre program. When asked why someone should join our choirs this is what he had to say “If your looking for a place to find a family within in the school, choir is the place to be. There’s so many different styles and types of people that are involved. Whether you join chorale, T/B, select mixed or treble choir, you will always find a place where you belong. No one is perfect, and you’ll learn to love that about yourself. Music brings people together. “ After graduation, Maxwell plans to hopefully get into one of his dream colleges, in order to get a BFA in musical theatre, as well as a degree in secondary education. That way he can perform and teach others how to perform! Oh Max, you will be wonderful in that career. Go be a star.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT:
Bronwyn Barnes has been in our choirs for 4yrs- 1 in Treble Choir and 3 yrs in Select Mixed and also Chorale. Her favorite choir memory was a special performance on our Cleveland trip where we performed in the VA Hospital on the hospice floor. “There was a feeling in the air I have never felt anywhere else- one that was crushing. Almost hopeless. We performed on that floor and gave everyone there on that day, in that moment, just a small glimmer of light in a world that seemed so blindingly dark. That experience is something I will never forget, and it has quickly become one of my favorite, and most humbling moments in my life” Besides choir , Bronwyn enjoys drawing, farming, being outside, hanging out with friends and raising livestock. She is also an active member in Warren County 4H where she shows livestock both around the state and the county fair. She also participates in the Marching Band, theatre and NHS. She asked why someone should join our choirs Bronwyn had this to say “Someone should join the choirs because there is always a deeper meaning behind everything you do. I mostly can speak for the select choirs but even in the T/B and Treble choir, there is a larger than life purpose to the songs you sing and the people you perform for. There have been many people who have spoken to me after concerts and appearances who have told me that they felt the emotion I, as well as the other singers, conveyed. I always try to do more than simply scratch the surface for meaning behind our singing, and our commmunity service for the people around us. Mrs. Baker always tells us that all we see on the news is everything wrong and horrible with the world, and our singing and our performance has the potential to be the light that gives everyone even a little bit of hope. I have felt the hand of God on my heart while in this choir, and it has truly given me a different outlook on my life.” After graduation Bronwyn plans to attend The Ohio State University with a major in Horticulture and Crop Science. What a blessing you have been in our choirs Bronwyn. With all your hardwork and dedication we just know you will do amazing things.
