Congrats to our 12U Lightning team for getting 2nd place at the 2026 EKRC softball tourney in Kettering, OH this past weekend!! Girls played hard and had a blast!!

Due to the large amount of interest at the 12U age group for our Lightning program, we will be considering having a 2nd 12U Lightning team. We will make a final decision after tryouts. If we end up having two 12U teams, the 2nd team will be coached by Brandon Sullivan.

12U/14U LM Lightning Tryouts Update

We will be hosting tryouts for our 12U Lightning program on Tuesday, 7/28 and our 14U Lightning program on Wednesday, 7/29 from 5:30-7:30. Our Lightning program provides an opportunity for girls in the Little Miami community to play at a more competitive level and against other teams at that same level. The 12U and 14U programs will include a Fall season, winter practices, NCSL Rec A league in the spring + multiple tournaments.

Age cutoff date is 8/31/26 for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 season (if you are 12 or younger on 8/31/26, you are eligible to play 12U)

12U coaches: Ryan Thieme(head), Nick Stiles (asst), Becky Prochno (asst)
14U coaches: Austin Suddith (head), Brian Beams (asst)

Big shout out to our 12U Lightning - Black team for their performance over the weekend! This team entered the end of season NCSL tourney as the 5 seed in the gold bracket taking out the 4 seed 5-0 in the 1st round, followed by beating the undefeated #1 seed 11-5 in the semifinals, and then losing a heartbreaker to a really solid Lebanon team on a walk off hit in the bottom of the 7th inning in the championship game.

Congrats girls! Really proud of you!

This year we were able to form two 12U Lightning teams due to the amount of talent in that age group. Last night, these teams had the opportunity to play each other on the high school field. It was awesome to see the growth these teams have made this year!

Special thanks to the Little Miami High School Softball head coach Chad Thieme for preparing the field and announcing the players before the game!

Big shout out to our 7th grade JH team this year! They went 11-6 and undefeated against ECC opponents in the regular season! A big thank you to Coach Corinne and her family for coaching these amazing young ladies. We look forward to what these talented girls do in the future!

Unfortunately, Youth Day will be cancelled due to the rain. See note below!

Unfortunately, there is a strong chance of rain in the forecast so the Jr High banana ball game is cancelled. It's looking like there might be a break in the rain so the Youth Day activities for the varsity game are still on as of now. Please arrive by 12:45 to join the varsity team on the field prior to the game!

Will keep you posted if anything changes with the varsity game!

Time to get ready for our Jr. High banana ball game tomorrow at 10:30 at the HS field! Prizes will be thrown to youth in attendance between innings! Bring your glove and if you catch a foul ball, the batter is out! 🍌🥎
