2027 Jr High Club Team Tryout Information!

We will hold open tryouts for the Jr High Club team November 8th and 15th from 3 – 5pm at the Little Miami High School field (will be moved to the LMMS gym if weather is unfavorable). This is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Given the large amount of talent and interest in the 6th-8th grades, we will potentially have a 7th grade team, 8th grade team and a 6th grade team. This will be dependent on the number of girls that try out as well as securing coaching staffs for each team.

All girls wanting to try out need to register online by clicking the link below:

https://www.lmfastpitch.org/user/programs/114073/registrants/new?key=38877

Players should bring all personal equipment as they would to a practice/game. This includes catching gear for anyone that wants to show their catching skills during tryouts. Dress like you would for a softball practice. Bring your own water bottle. Tryouts will be run similar to a practice and players will be given an opportunity to be evaluated on a variety of skills including fielding, throwing, running, hitting, etc.

Players must be registered online to attend tryouts.

Also, if you are interested in being a Jr High coach (head or assistant), please complete the coaching application at the following link:

https://www.lmfastpitch.org/user/programs/120810/registrants/new?key=351f1

If you have any questions about tryouts or being a coach, please reach out to [email protected].

Due to the large amount of interest at the 12U age group for our Lightning program, we will be considering having a 2nd 12U Lightning team. We will make a final decision after tryouts. If we end up having two 12U teams, the 2nd team will be coached by Brandon Sullivan.

Big shout out to our 12U Lightning - Black team for their performance over the weekend! This team entered the end of season NCSL tourney as the 5 seed in the gold bracket taking out the 4 seed 5-0 in the 1st round, followed by beating the undefeated #1 seed 11-5 in the semifinals, and then losing a heartbreaker to a really solid Lebanon team on a walk off hit in the bottom of the 7th inning in the championship game.

Congrats girls! Really proud of you!

This year we were able to form two 12U Lightning teams due to the amount of talent in that age group. Last night, these teams had the opportunity to play each other on the high school field. It was awesome to see the growth these teams have made this year!

Special thanks to the Little Miami High School Softball head coach Chad Thieme for preparing the field and announcing the players before the game!
