❤️🐐 HEY ROOTED ACRES FAMILY — WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🐐❤️

We have a BIG day coming up with TWO petting zoo events happening on the SAME DAY, and we can’t be in two places at once without a little help from our amazing community!

We’re looking for ONE FAMILY or 3–4 PEOPLE PER EVENT who would be willing to jump in and volunteer alongside Rooted Acres Ohio. 🌱

You don’t need to be a livestock expert! We’ll help show you what to do. We mainly need dependable people who are comfortable being around animals, interacting with families, and helping us keep everything running smoothly.

🐐 Help with the animals
❤️ Assist families visiting the petting zoo
🌾 Help us share agriculture education
🧹 Keep our areas clean and organized
🙌 Be an extra set of hands when we need it!

A little Rooted Acres update. ❤️🌱

When we shared our last update, we were honestly feeling weary. Sometimes life gets heavy. Sometimes the things we have poured our hearts into begin to feel like more than we can carry, and we find ourselves wondering if it’s time to lay them down.

But God has a way of reminding us that we were never meant to carry it all alone.

Since sharing our last post, several people have stepped forward and offered their time, gifts, and willingness to help. And because of that, Rooted Acres Ohio will continue on. 🙏

We don’t have every detail of what this next season will look like yet, but we know we don’t have to have it all figured out today. We are going to keep moving forward, keep trusting God, and keep following where He leads.

There may still be hard days. There may still be moments when we feel tired and unsure. But being weary doesn’t mean we have to quit. Sometimes it simply means we need to pause, breathe, pray, and allow others to help carry the load.

We are incredibly thankful for those who have stepped up, encouraged us, prayed for us, and reminded us that the mission of Rooted Acres is worth continuing.

So, Rooted Acres isn’t closing. We’re continuing on—perhaps a little differently, perhaps a little slower, but with renewed hope and a deeper trust in God.

Thank you for continuing to pray for us as we enter this next chapter. We are excited to see what God has in store. 🌱❤️

Hello, Rooted Acres family. ❤️

We owe you an explanation for our absence lately. Life has been taking our team in some unexpected directions, and we’ve been spending a lot of time in prayer as we consider what the future of Rooted Acres Ohio should look like.

Right now, we find ourselves torn between two possibilities: closing Rooted Acres Ohio completely, or finding a new board and a dedicated group of people who are willing to step in, carry the mission forward, and give Rooted Acres the time and energy it deserves.

This is not a decision we are taking lightly. Rooted Acres Ohio has been something we have poured our hearts into, and the thought of either closing it or handing it over to someone else brings a lot of emotions. At the same time, we want to be faithful to the mission God gave us and honest about what we are currently able to give.

So, for now, we are asking for your prayers. 🙏

Please pray for wisdom, clarity, discernment, and the right people to step forward if God is leading Rooted Acres into a new season. And please pray for our team as we seek to follow His direction, even when we don’t know exactly what that direction looks like yet.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported Rooted Acres Ohio, believed in our mission, participated in our programs, encouraged our team, and helped us along the way.

At Rooted Acres Ohio, we believe American families deserve affordable food AND American farmers deserve a fair opportunity to produce it.

We understand the frustration of families standing in the grocery store looking at the price of beef. We feel that frustration too. Food costs affect every household, and we absolutely want to see relief for working families.

But we also believe we need to look beyond the grocery shelf and ask an important question:

What happens to American agriculture when we try to solve a long-term supply problem with short-term imports?

President Trump’s announcement to temporarily allow up to 300,000 metric tons of additional imported beef into the United States may provide some short-term relief for consumers, but cattle producers across Ohio and the nation are understandably concerned about what this could mean for the American cattle industry. (Ohio Ag Net | Ohio’s Country Journal)

America does not need fewer farmers and ranchers.

We need more of them.

We need young people who want to raise cattle.
We need families who are willing to invest in livestock.
We need small and independent producers who can continue feeding their communities.
We need policies that make it possible for the next generation to inherit a viable farm—not one that has become impossible to operate.

If we truly want to rebuild the American cattle herd, we have to make raising American cattle economically sustainable.

At Rooted Acres Ohio, we believe the answer isn’t simply choosing farmers over consumers or consumers over farmers.

We need to find solutions that protect both.

Because when we lose American farms, we don’t just lose businesses.

We lose knowledge.
We lose stewardship.
We lose local food systems.
And eventually, we lose the ability to feed ourselves.

As an organization committed to agriculture education, we will continue encouraging families to understand where their food comes from, supporting local producers, teaching the next generation about agriculture, and advocating for an agricultural system where farm families can continue to grow, produce, and thrive.

We can care about the price of beef at the grocery store and care deeply about the rancher who worked for years to raise that animal.

Those two things should never have to be enemies.

After much prayer, reflection, and seeking God’s direction, we’re excited to share a new chapter for Rooted Acres Ohio.

When Rooted Acres Ohio was founded, our vision included livestock rescue, petting zoo experiences, and agricultural education. As we’ve continued to grow, we’ve realized that God is calling us to focus our efforts where we can make the greatest long-term impact: agricultural education.

This means we’ll be stepping away from livestock rescue and petting zoo services and instead dedicating our time and resources to teaching children, families, schools, and communities about agriculture, food production, stewardship, and the incredible farmers who help feed our world.

We believe agriculture is one of the greatest classrooms God has given us. Through planting seeds, caring for animals, working the land, and serving others, we see His faithfulness every single day.

Our mission remains firmly rooted in Christ:
🌱 To glorify God by cultivating a deeper understanding of agriculture through education, hands-on learning, and community outreach while inspiring faithful stewardship of His creation.

We’re excited about the opportunities ahead—developing educational programs, partnering with schools and organizations, supporting youth in agriculture, and helping reconnect people with where their food comes from.

We had such an amazing time this past weekend at Spring Crunchy Fest! 🌿🐐 Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, talked homesteading with us, supported our mission, and shared part of your weekend with us. We truly love getting to connect with this community. ❤️

One thing this weekend really confirmed for us is how passionate we are about helping families grow their homesteads, learn new skills, and feel more confident living a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Because of that, we are wanting to start focusing more on offering classes, workshops, and hands-on learning opportunities through Rooted Acres Ohio!
