❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU! ❤️

We want to take a moment to say the biggest THANK YOU to the incredible volunteers who came alongside us yesterday!

Working two events in one day is hard on our team—physically, mentally, and emotionally. There are so many moving pieces behind the scenes, and having people step in to help carry that load with us means more than we could ever put into words. Whether you helped with animals, talked with guests, loaded and unloaded, kept things moving, or simply jumped in wherever you were needed—we are so incredibly grateful for you. We truly could not do what we do without people willing to serve alongside us. ❤️

We are also so thankful for the partnerships we have with Crunchy Fest and Waynesville Fall Fest. We love getting to be part of events that bring families and communities together!

And Waynesville Fall Fest… calling it a “partnership” almost doesn’t feel like enough anymore. It has truly become home and family to Rooted Acres Ohio. We are so thankful for the people behind it, the relationships we’ve built, and the opportunity to return season after season. 🍂🐐

And we’re not finished yet!

TODAY + 3 MORE WEEKENDS remain in our Waynesville Fall Fest season, so come out and see us! We’d love to spend a beautiful fall day with you and your family. 🍁

Once Fall Fest wraps up, things will shift gears a little…

🐐 Our partner farm, Rooted Legacy Farm, will be popping up at various vendor events with their handcrafted goat milk products.

✨ Rooted Acres Ohio will make a few special appearances at live nativities throughout December.

😴 Then January brings something we don’t get very often… REST! A much-needed chance for our team and animals to slow down, recharge, and prepare for another busy year.

Because before we know it, goat kidding season will be here, followed by our spring event season—and we have some BIG things coming next spring! 🌷🐐

We can’t wait to share all the details with you!

For now, we’re soaking up every minute of fall and feeling incredibly grateful for the volunteers, partners, friends, and families who make this journey possible.

🎃 Can you help us make a special October visit even more fun?

Rooted Acres Ohio is partnering with the Warren County PetPals kids as they are planning a nursing home visit where residents and kids can paint pumpkins together, with their animals joining in on the fun! We’re looking for donations of about 40 small pumpkins and paint markers to make it happen.

If you have pumpkins or paint markers you’d like to donate, please send us a message. Every donation helps us share a little fall joy with the residents. 🍂🐐

Update: We have a canopy!!! Thank you all so much!

⛈️ Help Us Replace Our Event Canopy ⛈️

During the severe storm at Waynesville Fall Fest tonight, one of our canopies was ruined while it was being used to shelter our rabbits.

This canopy is an important part of many Rooted Acres Ohio events, helping us provide shade and protection for our animals, supplies, and volunteers throughout the year.

If anyone has a canopy they no longer use and would be willing to donate, we would be incredibly grateful. If you don’t have one but would like to help purchase or sponsor a replacement, please send us a message.

🌱 Rooted Acres Ohio Has a New Look! 🌱

With Waynesville Fall Fest beginning, we wanted to let everyone know that you’ll start seeing a new Rooted Acres Ohio logo at the festival and everywhere else you find us!

This is more than a change for Fall Fest—we have been working on a refreshed look for Rooted Acres Ohio as a whole. As our organization continues to grow, we wanted our logo and branding to better reflect who we are and the work we do.

While our look is changing, our heart and mission remain the same: sharing our faith, providing meaningful agricultural education, encouraging good stewardship, and helping families connect with animals and farming.

We’re excited to share this next chapter with all of you. Keep an eye out for our new logo beginning this weekend at Fall Fest!

’Twas the night before Fall Fest, and down on the farm,
The animals were resting, all cozy and warm.
The buckets were stacked by the trailer with care,
For a weekend of fun would soon fill the air.

All the veggies were chopped into servings just right—
Bright carrots and apples, a colorful sight!
The coolers were packed and the signs tucked away,
While the goats seemed to know they were leaving next day.

The sheep had been brushed, and the chickens looked proud;
The ducks softly quacked while the turkeys talked loud.
The rabbits were nestled all snug in their hay,
Dreaming of visitors coming their way.

The trailer stood ready, the checklist was done;
Soon families would gather for fall-fashioned fun.
With laughter and learning—and memories to make—
There’d be hungry farm friends with treats they could take!

So come see us this weekend; we’re ready to go!
There’ll be animals waiting and excitement to show.
So pack up the family and come join the fun—
At Waynesville Fall Fest where fall memories are begun! 🐐🐑🐓🐇🍎🥕🍂

We are so excited to return to Waynesville Fall Fest! Come see us in the petting farm every Saturday and Sunday from tomorrow - November 1!

🐔 Ever wanted to learn how to process your own meat chickens but didn’t know where to start?

Join Rooted Acres Ohio for our Hands-On Chicken Butchering Class and gain practical skills that can help you provide food for your family while learning to respect the animals God has entrusted to us.

💲 Cost: $35 per group
✔️ Includes 1 chicken to process during the class
➕ Additional chickens may be added for $20 each

🧊 Please bring a cooler to transport your processed chickens home safely.

This class is designed for beginners and those looking to become more self-sufficient. We’ll walk through the process step-by-step in a welcoming, educational environment where questions are encouraged.
