Back2Back Ministries is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to being a voice for orphaned and vulnerable children. We seek to provide holistic care across our global sites in India, Nigeria, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Haiti. We offer mission trips, child sponsorship, and trauma-competent care training opportunities.

A night like A Night of Hope doesn't happen because of one person, one team, or one organization. It happens because so many people choose to show up, give generously, serve faithfully, and believe in the work of restoring childhood.

To our incredible event sponsors, both those recognized here and those who have chosen to remain anonymous, thank you. Your generosity and partnership helped make this evening possible, and we are deeply grateful.

To the volunteers who gave their time and energy, to Crossroads Mason for opening their doors, and to every person who worked behind the scenes, offered a helping hand, or contributed in ways both seen and unseen: we are so grateful for you.

There are countless hands behind a night like this, and every single one matters.

Some evenings remind us why we do this work, and others remind us just how many people are willing to stand alongside us in it. A Night of Hope was both.

To everyone who joined us, whether in person or virtually, thank you. Thank you for showing up, for leaning into the stories shared, and for reminding us this work, of restoring childhood, was never meant to be done alone.

Your presence, investment, and continued partnership mean more than we can express. We are grateful to remain in this fight alongside you, pursuing hope and restoration for children and families around the world.

We left the evening grateful for what God is already doing, encouraged by the people who continue to make this work possible, and hopeful for all that is still ahead.

Because hope doesn't stand still. And neither do we.

Thank you for being part of A Night of Hope, for throwing your stone, and for continuing to pursue a world where every child is known, loved, and cared for. 💚

Some burdens are easy to see, and others are carried quietly.

On World Mental Health Day, John 11 reminds us that pain and grief are not things we must rush through. When Jesus encountered Mary in her grief, He didn’t immediately offer an explanation or ask her to move beyond what she felt.

He saw her pain, and He entered into it with her. He wept.

Mental health is deeply personal, complex, and not always visible to others. Anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, loneliness, and exhaustion are not measures of how loved or faithful someone is.

May we follow Jesus’ example by making room for what others carry. Let us be people of God who listen without rushing to fix, choosing curiosity over assumption and compassion over judgment.

Scripture reminds us to move toward one another with tenderness, to help bear one another’s burdens, and to care for those who are hurting. May we pay closer attention to the people around us and make it safer for someone to say, “I’m not okay right now.”

Because sometimes loving our neighbor means simply being willing to sit with them in what hurts.

What if, instead of asking, “Why are you acting this way?” we asked, “What have you experienced?”

Javier* didn’t always have the words for what he was carrying at seven-years-old. So, sometimes, his fists spoke for him. Then, trauma-informed caregivers looked beyond his behavior; they moved closer, instead of pulling away, and something shifted.

Javier is learning to name his emotions today; he knows he has trusted adults he can go to for help, and he can even encourage his peers to choose words instead of violence to solve a problem.

His story reminds us that behavior is often only the beginning of the story, and when a child is given safety and patience, and someone willing to understand, healing is possible.

Applications for Back2Back’s Summer 2027 International Internships are still open. Spend your summer serving alongside local teams, building relationships across cultures, learning what holistic care looks like up close, and becoming part of work that is restoring childhood and strengthening families around the world.

You’ll come ready to give your time, energy, and gifts. But somewhere between the ordinary days, the unexpected moments, the people you meet, and the stories you become part of, you may discover just how much this summer gives back to you, too.

For years, survival demanded everything Sadhri had. And then she saw what the violence in her home was doing to her children.

Nine-year-old Vadin* was withdrawing, and his younger brother faced his own struggles, too. Sadhri knew something had to change.

What came next required courage, community, and a path to safety.

Today, their home sounds different, and their day-to-day feels different. For the first time in a long time, there is room in their lives for more than simply surviving.
