A child’s future alters when someone shows up consistently.

For just $40 a month, you can take part in impacting change vulnerable children need through Bright Futures.

When you sponsor a graduating class through Bright Futures, you help provide:
📚 Trauma-informed education, helping children learn and heal
👩‍🏫 Training and support for educators to understand the meaning behind behavior
🍎 Healthy snacks to fuel growing minds and bodies, promoting focus

These aren’t just resources; they’re reminders to vulnerable children that they are seen, valued, safe, and worth investment.

Healing and opportunity occur through consistent care. Together, we can create brighter futures for children around the world.

Together, we can offer a reminder over and over: you deserve hope and stability; you deserve the chance to thrive.

He grew up quietly caring for a small garden at a Haiti children’s home.

Now, adults gather to learn from him.

Wadell* grew up tending birds, watering plants, and learning what growth requires: patience, care, consistency. Today, he’s studying agronomy in Haiti and teaching others how sustainable gardening can strengthen families and communities.

To celebrate this year’s Agriculture & Labor Day, he taught teens and adults how to compost, grow food sustainably, and plant papaya trees. He provided practical lessons rooted in something much deeper: hope.

Because Wadell’s dream isn’t just about gardens.

He envisions a day where families understand stability and nourishment for themselves, even in difficult places. He longs to create opportunities for communities to grow stronger, from the ground up.

The same care once poured into Wadell’s life is now rippling outward into the lives of others.

And he’s just getting started. 🌱

Too often, vulnerable children are first seen through the lens of what they’re missing instead of who they are.

Their stories become shortened to hardship and their identities are reduced to circumstance.

But each child is much more than the instability they’ve experienced. They are more than the needs they carry.

They are children with personalities, laughter, fears, favorite songs, dreams for the future, and names that deserve to be spoken with dignity and care.

Real restoration begins when a child is fully seen, not as a problem to solve, but as a person worthy of love, belonging, and protection.

Children should be known by name, not by need.

Education changes more than report cards; for vulnerable populations, it can alter the direction of an entire life.

In Nigeria and India, children facing instability and uncertainty are now walking into classrooms where they are not only taught, but also understood, relearning their futures matter.

Hundreds of students are still waiting; they’re out of school to help their families survive; they’re missing school because they don’t have resources or access. Each life an untapped potential just waiting.

Today, we launch Bright Futures in response to this ongoing distress. It is a graduating class sponsorship program designed to help vulnerable students receiving consistent, quality education and care. Through trauma-informed principles, teachers have the tools to helps students learn at their pace, in their own way. Bright Futures allows space for children to truly thrive.

We are looking for 800 sponsors willing to step into the story of restoration. Because when a child loses access to education, the consequences reach far beyond the classroom. Opportunities shrink. Stability becomes harder to reach. Futures become more fragile.

But when someone steps in, everything can begin to change.

A sponsor helps keep a child in school and protects possibility. A sponsor helps restore childhood.

They came curious.
A little unsure.
But hopeful.

Fourteen children walked through the doors that first Kids Club.

The next month, they came back and brought friends.

Now the room is filled with worship songs, dancing, laughter, crafts, snacks, memory verses, and children who know they are welcomed here.

What began as “there isn’t enough space” became: “Let’s make more room.”

Because every child deserves a place to belong. ❤️

“Can we have balloons?”

It was a simple question. But for three siblings unfamiliar with regular celebration, it carried something deeper: hope that maybe this year, they would be seen.

So there were balloons. And cake. There was laughter. And singing. And for one hour, everything slowed down long enough for three siblings to simply be children.

“They held onto their balloons as long as they could because, for a moment, three vulnerable children weren’t considering what was difficult or overwhelming; they were simply children being celebrated.”

Moments like this may seem small, but for children growing up in instability, celebration can become part of healing. It reminds them they are known and valued, that they are worthy of joy.

This is what restoration can look like. It doesn’t have to be grand or complicated; it just needs to be intentional. Read the full story here: https://back2back.org/blog/can-we-have-balloons/

Foster families step into moments many never see.

They welcome children carrying grief, uncertainty, fear, and loss into their homes and daily routines. They show up in courtrooms, therapy appointments, school meetings, difficult transitions, and ordinary moments that slowly help children feel safe again.

And while foster care can be beautiful, it can also be complex and deeply emotional.

This National Foster Care Month, we invite you to pray for foster families alongside us. Pray for strength when they feel overwhelmed, wisdom in the difficult moments, patience through uncertainty, and encouragement to keep showing up for vulnerable children.

Because no foster family was meant to carry this work alone.

Swipe through for specific ways to pray this month. 🤍
