The Live Like Maya Foundation

The Live Like Maya Foundation Some of the organizations that we support include the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

The Live Like Maya Foundation is committed to funding pediatric cancer research, providing financial assistance to families of children battling cancer and continuing Maya's legacy of fostering kindness and goodwill within the community. In the spirit of Maya's Pay it Forward Movement, the foundation also provides college scholarships to students in the community who have displayed exemplary life

skills such as community service, overcoming obstacles, leadership activities, and family commitment to name a few.

Meet Hannah Grace!

From Hannah's mom: "Hannah Grace is in 4th grade this year at Little Miami and enjoys art class, STEAM class and participating in American Heritage Girls. The highlight of her summer was finishing treatment and ringing the bell with friends and family. ๐ŸŽ‰ She also got to attend AHG camp where she received badges for rock climbing, outdoor cooking and astronomy.

Hannah will continue to have scans every 3 months for a while because of the aggressive nature of her anaplastic Wilms tumor.

We are thankful for your support helping our family celebrate the holidays and other milestones during treatment. "

Meet Henry!

Henry is 13 years old and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in January 2024. After months of treatment, Henry is in remission. He rang the bell in December 2024. ๐ŸŽ‰

Henry is a very smart, outgoing and creative kid. He is in 8th grade at Little Miami Middle School. He loves fishing, camping, going to Kings Island, and playing video games. He enjoys spending time with his friends and loves his dogs, Pretzel and Bubbles. Jennifer Thieken

Forever 13 ๐Ÿ’”

Dylan was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia in 2016. Through 2 years and 2 bone marrow transplants, Dylan fought incredibly hard. He unfortunately passed away March 3rd 2018. More than anything Dylan loved his sister, Camdyn and his yellow lab, Rusty. He was an old soul that loved Elvis music, 80s classic comedies like Ferris Buellerโ€™s Day Off, riding dirt bikes, being outdoors and playing video games with his friends. Before Dylan passed he wrote in a journal that he wanted his family to remember him by โ€œnever forgetting kids with cancerโ€, so even in the hardest moments of his battle he was truly selfless. Dylan was larger than life, as was his fight.. and he is truly missed every minute of every day. ๐Ÿ’™

Meet Josie!

Josie is almost two-years-old and our sweet, spunky little girl. She was diagnosed with JMML at just 5 months old and recently completed 12 rounds of chemotherapy, ringing the bell in June to celebrate being cancer-free! ๐ŸŽ‰

Josie loves spending time with her two big brothers, playing, exploring, and being the center of attention. She has the sweetest personality with plenty of sass and has shown incredible strength and resilience from the very beginning. We are so grateful to watch her grow, laugh, and enjoy being a kid after everything she has been through. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŽ—

Meet Maddox.

Maddox is quite the feisty three-year-old with a vocabulary and comprehension levels far beyond his years. He is in his 3rd cycle of Maintenance with his 'end of treatment' date being July 18, 2027. He loves vehicles above everything - construction trucks, cars, buses, tow trucks, garbage trucks, ambulances, police cars, fire trucks, you name it. ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿš™๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš“ He also loves to paint and do crafts.๐ŸŽจ He loves to be read to and lately has really gotten into dancing around the house. ๐Ÿ•บ He adores his three (much) older brothers - ages 10, 13, and 14. He wants to be everywhere they are. He loves to build with Duplo Legos and loves playing and digging in sensory bins.

He likes paw patrol and sheriff Labrador. He has a 2 year old brother that is more like his twin because they are so close in age. He is such a smart, goofy, brave, and sweet little boy. We love him so much!
