Mason Kiwanis members had a spooky good time volunteering at the 2nd Annual 5k Spooktacular Run/Walk to benefit Comet Cupboard and Shine Like Sable. Proceeds raised from the event support students with food insecurity at Mason City Schools.

We look forward to all the fun for a great cause again at next year’s event! 👻🎃💚💫

One of our favorite meetings is recognizing the amazing students at Mason High School who “Make a Difference” at school, going above and beyond in service to their fellow Comets.

⭐️ Today 35 Comets, who were nominated by their teachers for the difference they make, were celebrated by Mason Kiwanians and Mason City Schools Administration at a Kiwanis meeting.

It was a pleasure to have lunch with these remarkable young leaders and hear each of their favorite Mason Moments. The experiences they shared with us highlight the importance of relationships, experiences in and beyond the classroom, and how teachers, coaches and staff members positively impact each student.

💚 💫 Congratulations to each Difference Maker! The future is very bright with these young leaders. 💚💫

⭐️ Congratulations to Owen Smith who was recognized today as the October Student of the Month for the Kiwanis Club of Mason. Owen was nominated by his teacher Nathalie Shova for his extraordinary compassion toward his fellow students.

Owen is part of the inaugural class of Comet Champions which focuses on inclusion for all students. He champions bringing experiences to his fellow students with disabilities like learning new instruments through United Sound. Owen shares his joy with his friends and shines a light that makes a difference for others.

Well done, Owen! 💚

🚲 Kiwanis Club of Mason members & friends , Bicycle Recycle & Mason City Schools students — Community in Action!

The Kiwanis Club of Mason was proud to host with Mason City Schools Journey Days students for a special day of service and giving back to our community!

🔧 Students got hands-on experience helping with bicycle repairs, learning practical skills while helping make sure local bikes are safe and ready to ride.

🎁 The over 100 bicycles repaired during this event will be given as gifts during this year’s CommUNITY Holiday Help providing holiday cheer to families in our Mason community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside these amazing students and show that when we come together, small acts of service can make a big difference!

Thank you to all our volunteers for their time and expertise to make this service event a great success! Thank you to the Manor House for hosting this service event.

💙💛 There are many special moments living in our great community, but one of the traditions we enjoy being part of annually is the Mason Heritage Day Parade. Greeting the young and “young at heart” along the parade route while sharing our Mason Kiwanis Pride makes for a day to remember.

We had a great time celebrating Mason’s Heritage with our friends, neighbors, families, and fellow community organizations!

Thank you to the City of Mason City - Government for all you do make Mason a vibrant community.! 💙💛

If you are looking for an opportunity to get involved in community service in our community, come learn more about the Kiwanis Club of Mason by joining us at our lunch meeting any Thursday at noon at the Manor House or check us out at MasonKiwanis.org.
