Church Family,

Tomorrow, we're are going to learn deeply and worship proudly our Triune God. Below is a link to a new song that we'll sing called "Like No Other". Check out some of the lyrics below as it takes us on a journey to see the beauty of each person of the Trinity:

Behold the Triune God
The Father, the Spirit, the Son
Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer
Come behold the Triune God

Behold the Father's heart
How sovereign, how gracious Thou art
Eternal, almighty and glorious
Come behold the Father's heart

Oh, our God is like no other
From beginning to the end
On His throne He reigns forever
So, come behold Him

Behold the Son of Man
The Savior, the Lion, the Lamb
All honor
All honor and glory to Jesus Christ
Come behold the Son of Man

Oh, our God is like no other
From beginning to the end
On His throne He reigns forever
Come behold Him

Behold the Spirit's power
Indwelling and leading us out
He's the Helper, the Healer, the Breath of God
Come behold the Spirit's power

Behold! He's coming soon
Yes
The Lord. He will make all things new
We'll fall down before Him and praise His name
Oh, behold! He's coming soon

This week in community groups we’ll be discussing what God has done to how we live. Here are some questions to start thinking through.

Church family,

As we come to the close of our 21 days of fasting and prayer, I want to say first: thank you. Thank you for leaning in, for showing up hungry—physically and spiritually—and for taking this journey together.

I also want to be a bit vulnerable with you.

About halfway through the fast, I realized something uncomfortable but important: my heart was lagging behind my head and my body. I had changed my diet. I had altered my routines. But I was slower than I wanted to be in truly seeking God. I was doing the fast, but not always living in His presence.

And that’s where I sensed the Lord gently redirecting me.

The theme God kept surfacing in my heart was the presence of God—Coram Deo—living life before the face of God. Not just inviting Him into “church things” or spiritual moments, but into everything. My thoughts. My reactions. My marriage. My parenting. My work. My tomorrow.

Over the last days of the fast, I’ve been using the questions attributed to St. Ignatius—simple, honest questions that help me pay attention to my heart:

Where did I notice God’s presence today?

Where did I resist Him?

What stirred gratitude? What stirred unrest?

I’ve been asking those questions not just personally, but for my marriage and my family—and I’ve been learning again how much I need to intentionally invite God into what’s coming next, not just reflect on what already happened.

As we close this fast, my prayer is not that we “go back to normal,” but that we carry forward a deeper awareness of God’s nearness. That we would be a people who live Coram Deo—before His face—ordinary days filled with an extraordinary awareness of His presence.

Thank you for walking this road together. I’m grateful for you, and expectant for what God will continue to do in us.

Grace and peace,

Mike

Because of the inclement weather and for everyone’s safety, we are canceling our in-person gathering tomorrow.

While we won’t be together in the building, we still want to be together in spirit. To that end, we’ve prepared a simple Family Worship Guide you can use at home—whether it’s with your whole household, a few friends, or on your own. Look for it in your inbox!

Our prayer is that this unexpected pause would become a gift—that you would enjoy time with your family, slow down a bit, and use the day to draw near to the Lord. God is not limited by weather, walls, or schedules, and He delights to meet us wherever we are.

Please stay safe, check on one another as you’re able, and know that you are prayed for and loved.
