Arts for All Wisconsin is hosting this year's 2026 SPARK! Creative Engagement Conference, presented by the SPARK! Alliance. This conference is a two-day, in-person training event for existing SPARK! organizations and people interested in bringing SPARK! to their communities.

Speakers Include:
- Dr. Nathaniel Chin, Geriatrician and Medical Director for the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, will speak about the importance of building a community for both the caregiver and person living with dementia.
- Dani Klein Modisett, Founder/CEO of Laughter On Call, will provide an engaging program that provides movement and levity.
- Dr. Fabu Carter, Senior Program Manager for the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, will speak about the disproportionate impact of Alzheimer's disease on the Black community.
- And many more!

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

We are grateful for all of the organizations that are committed to helping people with disabilities become and stay employed. We’d like to highlight a few that we work closely with:

Advanced Employment provides the training, assistance, and support needed for each individual served by the organization to successfully access and maintain job placement in their community.

JavaAbilities serves the tastiest food and drinks while providing employment opportunities for people of all abilities. They model what an inclusive workplace can look like.

AchieveAbilities provides individualized career coaching and skill development based on the goals, needs, and strengths of participants in their programming.

AFA has art for sale by working artists with disabilities at both Advanced Employment and JavaAbilities.

This month's Friday Night Dance Party was the perfect start to spooky season. We dressed up in our finest costumes and "Monster Mashed" the night away!

The next Friday Night Dance Party is a few days away!

Join us on Friday, October 2 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on the first floor of the Madison Youth Arts Center for a Costume Party themed dance party. Our dance parties are for people with and without disabilities who are 16 and older. Costumes are encouraged but not required!

Tickets are $5 per dancer and can be purchased online or at the door. To register online, visit www.artsforallwi.org/register or click the link in our bio.

We encourage dancers to choose costumes that prioritize safety, comfort, and are respectful of others. Costumes with weapon props or excessive gore will not be permitted.

It will be an evening of dancing, refreshments, and fun! We can't wait to see you there.

Twirls and ribbon and streamers, oh my! Our first Intro to ConfiDance class of the season was a blast!

This class is designed to provide young children with disabilities the opportunity to explore movement through a multi-sensory approach. Dancers will experience a variety of music and dance styles, and make some new friends along the way!

If you want to get involved, we have spots left for dancers of all ages in our fall classes, with additional adult classes starting again in October.

Opportunities include but are not limited to:

Dance Exploration, a class for children ages 5 to 12 who are blind or have low vision to explore dance in a tactile and rhythm focused workshop series.

ConfiDance 1, a fun and energetic multi-sensory dance class for children with disabilities ages 8 to 15.

Broadway Dance, a musical theater movement class for people with disabilities ages 16 and older to step into the spotlight.

Inner Realms: An Arts for All Wisconsin Benefit Exhibition is coming to a close this weekend!

We need $900 to reach our fundraiser goal, which closes on September 27. Our exhibitions and artists program directly assists people with disabilities. Here's how you can support:

-Donate directly to Arts for All Wisconsin at www.artsforallwi.org/donate .
- Purchase art: 30% of each sale directly supports our program to continue our efforts, with the remaining directed back to the artists. Art can be purchased at www.artsforallwi.org/shop-art .
- Spread the word: share this post and help others find out about our fundraiser.

We have a new director that joined our team a few weeks ago: Director of Philanthropy, Nina Zarrillo!

Nina is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in marketing. She is rooted in mission-driven fundraising, excited to build authentic partnerships, and committed to inclusivity and accessibility. Nina shares, "I'm passionate about strengthening communities and expanding opportunities for people to connect through and be empowered by the arts, and Arts for All Wisconsin does just that!"
