Today is a day to honor and remember all who served and fell in the line of duty. We are grateful for all of the veterans that we work closely with and honor the sacrifices they have made, while remembering the ones no longer with us.

It's always a great time when the streamers get pulled out in dance class! Part of our approach to making our dance classes accessible is offering a multi-sensory approach. This provides more opportunities for the dancers to engage in movement, making class not only more fun, but also a positive experience. As a bonus, it also makes for some very fun photos!

Meet Janelle McGhee, our newest Teaching Artist! She will be taking on two new classes this summer with us called Jazz Hands and Broadway Dance.

Janelle joins us with a background in teaching dance and theater to people of all ages with disabilities, as well as a history and degree in education. Her many talents also include dancing, performing, acting, directing, designing costumes, and more, which she has utilized with local theaters.

One class she will teach is called Jazz Hands, which will combine a variety of upbeat music, mixed with fun dance moves, all within an inclusive and supportive environment to explore the fundamentals of jazz dance. The other class is Broadway Dance, a Musical Theatre Movement class designed specifically for people with disabilities.
