🍬 October Dental Health Tip! 🦷

Enjoying some sweet treats this spooky season? 🎃 Don't forget to rinse your mouth with water afterward! 💦

When you eat candy, bacteria in your mouth feed on the sugar and produce acids that can weaken tooth enamel and lead to cavities. Rinsing with water helps wash away leftover sugars and acids, protecting your smile between brushes!

A simple rinse can make a BIG difference! 💙

Look who came back to visit us!! 🥹💙🧡

We had the sweetest surprise this week! Many of you may remember Mafer, one of our former Dental Assistants, who came back to WI from TX for a quick visit! And while she was here, she even spent some time volunteering with us! 🦷💕

Oh, how we've missed her contagious smile, bubbly personality, and the joy she brings to our clinic! It was SO good having her back with our Mercy family, even if it was just for a little while!

Mafer, no matter how far life takes you, you'll always have a home away from home here at MDM! 🏡❤️ We miss you and are so grateful you came back to share your time and talents with us!

Once part of the Mercy family, ALWAYS part of the Mercy family! 🥰

🦷💙 Our Dental Hygiene Team is Growing!

We are delighted to welcome Maria to the Mercy Dental Missions family this week! 🎉

Maria brings 22 years of dental hygiene experience and a heart for our mission of positively impacting lives through preventive dental care and education.

Together, Monse, Lois, and Maria make up our wonderful team of dental hygienists who play a vital role in shaping periodontal health in our clinic and throughout our community.

We believe that preventing dental disease is the most affordable, comfortable, and effective approach to lifelong oral health. Through compassionate care and patient education, our hygiene team is helping individuals and families build healthier smiles for years to come!

Please join us in giving Maria a warm welcome! 💙

Mercy Dental Missions was honored to get to be interviewed on the Faith and Life episode with Bill! 🎤

We got to talk about the need for access to dental care, how it looks to go without, and what’s being done about it. We shared a little bit about our recent grant from UMGC that helps support our Agape Grant Program, providing extra financial assistance to community members going through some extra tough times.

The interview will be airing Saturday morning at 6:00AM on Life 102.5 (Life 102.5) but let’s be honest, most people listen online 😉 We will post the link once it’s up! 🙌🏼

✨ We’re Honored and Grateful! ✨

Tonight, Mercy Dental Missions was blessed to receive the United Madison Christian Givers (United Madison Christian Givers) Octoberfest Grant Award! 🙌

We were humbled to stand alongside 6 other incredible Christian nonprofits - Bridges of Hope Inc (Bridges of Hope), Door Creek Church (Door Creek Church), The Dwelling, Every Daughter, and Family Connect WI (Family Connect of Wisconsin): each carrying out God’s work with grace and compassion. 💙

This grant will help us expand our Agape Grant Program, funding urgent dental care for those in need while continuing to strengthen our Christ-centered clinic environment. Each restored smile is a living testimony of hope, healing, and God’s grace in action. 🦷✨

Thank you, United Madison Christian Givers, for believing in our mission and helping us share God’s love, one smile at a time. 💫

Happy International Coffee Day! ☕💙

Our team celebrated with a little Starbucks run today, and fun fact: together, our team has traveled to more than 40 DIFFERENT countries around the world! 🌎✨ But here are a few of their favorites!

We love the experiences, cultures, and connections that come with seeing the world. We’re especially excited about our next adventure coming up soon, our Global Mission Trip to Peru in just a few weeks to serve FREE dentistry to those who need it most! 🇵🇪💙

Coffee, community, and a whole lot of mission. ☕🌎✨
