13 years later, Brian Woehlke is still talked about often, still remembered, and still missed by a lot of people.

Today 4 members participated in the fight for air climb at Ford Field.

Fire Marshal Nate Figueroa has been earning money for the cause and participating in the climb every year since he started his career with the department in 2014.

This year, Probationary Firefighter Jana Stiffler placed 18th overall and finished #1 for female firefighters with a time of 10:49!

Great effort by all of our members who represented at the climb today and raised money for the American Lung Association!

Today, we pause to honor and remember Captain Jeff Brozich on the five-year anniversary of his passing.

Five years ago today, on March 1, 2021, we lost a dedicated leader, a brother, and a true public servant. Captain Brozich’s commitment to the citizens he served and to his fire family will never be forgotten. His leadership, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to the fire service continue to inspire those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

The black band across our badge serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifice made and the legacy left behind. Though time has passed, his memory remains strong within our department and our community.

We honor his service.
We remember his sacrifice.
We carry forward his legacy.

Rest easy, Captain Brozich. We’ve got it from here

Over the next couple of weeks, you may see Ladder 72 and its crew out and about throughout the city. Our firefighters will be conducting training in neighborhoods and at local businesses as we continue sharpening our truck company operations.

🚨 Big Day for Madison Heights Fire Department! 🚨

Today, Ladder 72 is officially in service and has already taken its first emergency run. This moment has been a long time coming, and we’re proud to announce the city’s first ladder company running first due and will be assigned to Fire Station 2.

A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in making this possible, your support, hard work, and dedication have brought a new level of service and capability to our community.

Here’s to many safe and successful runs ahead. 🔥🚒
