Great time at My Super Taco for our Chamber lunch today! Great food, great connections and strengthening relationships. It was wonderful to experience another restaurant gem in the community. Loved seeing current and future members together, along with business leaders from various industries spending time with staff from both cities.

With funds made possible through our Trusted Connector grant, the Chamber was able to partner with Lysa Bradford and her Class of 2026 Momentum Accelerator. We were honored to provide a $3000 grant award to Adwoa Anderson of Project Monday to empower her team's efforts to foster the well-being of underserved minorities locally in Detroit and globally in Ghana. Then we all celebrated with a dance party! Thank you, PictureMeePerfect, for some great photos that captured the spirit of the event!

Stopped by City of Hazel Park - City Hall today to have a chat with David Benjamin about this year's Shop Small Business Saturday in their city. Looking forward to celebrating and championing the amazing, creative, hard-working small businesses in both Hazel Park and the City of Madison Heights!
(Also, it looks like I'm holding my head up high to reduce my double chin. 😆)

Congratulations to MVP Sports Pub & Grill on a wonderful ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration. Thanks to everyone who came out to cheer them on and enjoy their food and drinks!

Grand Opening celebration and Ribbon Cutting this Thursday at 4:30pm!

Welcome to your new neighborhood pub in northeast Madison Heights! MVP Sports Pub at 31313 Dequindre is soon-to-be our newest member. The owner, Mark, welcomed me warmly with his hospitality and a tasty lunch! We talked local business, mutual friends and more. The chili with an 85 year old recipe from Victory Inn was especially flavorful!

And he repeated a common theme: the team of courteous professionals in the Community and Economic Development office in the City of Madison Heights made the whole process of opening the business that much better.

Great way to start the week! Connecting with colleagues and (delicious!) coffee. Cards were exchanged, business collaboration was considered, and stories were stored. A good reminder that all business is human. With Kurt's Kustom Promotions, Orange Otter Marketing and Signs-n-Designs, Inc..
