✨Exciting News!✨

We are thrilled to announce two new collaborations aimed at advancing cardiac wellness within our first responder community!

First, in collaboration with Ascend Imaging Center, an independent imaging center dedicated to advancing health and wellness in our community. Through this collaboration, we are able to provide CT calcium score screenings in a centralized, fixed location, in the Tri-County area. Additionally, the mobile CT unit will allow us to travel outside the Tri-County area, providing calcium scores to other departments throughout our state.

Second, we are excited to collaborate with Dr. Christopher Maroules and his group, Innovation Health Services (IHS). Dr. Maroules is a cardiothoracic radiogist who has helped develop advanced cardiac imaging programs within the military community throughout the United States. Dr. Maroules is recognized for his contributions to the Dallas Heart Study, one of the largest population-based cardiac research studies. IHS is also an independent practice and their expertise will ensure that all screenings will provide our first responders with the best possible care and accurate results.

We have worked so hard over the past two years behind the scenes to bring you this collaboration, and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved.

We loved seeing Dundees Assistant Fire Chief, Rob Justice again this year!

Rob had a heart attack while on the job a few short months ago. He knew the signs and drove himself to get checked out and ended up staying in the hospital for a few days and getting emergency bypass surgery. He is now making a full recovery.

We’re so glad he acted fast and received the care needed.
