From the bottom of our hearts, Neighbors United and want to thank the residents of Ray Township and our surrounding communities for the incredible generosity you have shown throughout October.
Together, you have helped us raise over $15,000 to support Michigan firefighters and their families who have been affected by cancer. That is more than just a number. It represents hope, support, and a community coming together for the people who dedicate their lives to protecting us.
Many of you may have seen firefighters, their family members, and volunteers collecting donations on the weekends at 27 Mile and 29 Mile. Whether you stopped to donate, offered words of encouragement, waved, or simply showed us your support, please know that it means more to us than you may ever realize. Every dollar and every act of kindness makes a difference.
❤️ WHY THIS MATTERS
Firefighters spend their lives answering the call when someone needs help. But behind those uniforms are husbands, wives, moms, dads, sons, daughters, and friends. They are people with families who want them to come home safely after every shift.
Unfortunately, cancer has touched far too many firefighters and their families. The money raised helps Michigan firefighters who have been diagnosed with cancer, supports families who have lost a loved one to this disease, and helps provide cancer screenings so firefighters have a better chance of detecting cancer early.
These are the people who show up for us on our worst days. Now, we have an opportunity to show up for them.
❤️ WE ARE SO CLOSE!
We have just two days left to collect donations — tomorrow and Saturday — and we are only $5,000 away from reaching our $20,000 goal!
If you haven't had the opportunity to donate, there is still time. If you have already donated, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you are able to give a little more, please know that every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us closer to our goal. Even a small donation can make a meaningful difference when an entire community comes together.
We understand that everyone has their own challenges and responsibilities. There is absolutely no pressure. We are simply grateful for the love and support this community continues to show.
To everyone who has stopped, donated, encouraged us, or helped spread the word: THANK YOU. You are part of something that truly matters.
And to those who will be out on the roads during our final days of collections, please slow down, stay alert, and help keep our firefighters and volunteers safe. They are out there for a cause that could one day touch someone you love.
