Veterans Day is special in our house. This was our sixth year sending out homemade thank you cards to Veterans near and dear to our hearts. This tradition of thanks started as a special class project at Cherokee Elementary in Emily's fifth grade. It made such an impact we continued each and every year since (Emily's in 11th grade now).
Please take a moment to appreciate those whose service and sacrifice should never be forgotten.

Happy Thursday! Due to reasons beyond our control, we will NOT be hosting the lemonade stand this year. We look forward to a time when the unexpected doesn't impact our health or the health of those we love. Stay safe, healthy and happy!

This past Sunday, we lost a good friend and amazing supporter, Congressman Paul Mitchell. Throughout the years of our lemonade stand, we have been lucky enough to be able to share some time with him. Congressman Mitchell was such a positive man and always so welcoming to be around. We can not thank him enough for all of the good things he did to help us. It is heartbreaking that he is gone, but we know he left us and many others with an unforgettable example to lead by. Please keep him and his family in your prayers as we toast a glass of lemonade to Congressman Mitchell.

We hope that everyone's summer is starting off healthy and happy. Today would have marked the 11th year of our lemonade stand. Do you remember the last lemonade stand? June 1, 2019 was quite a day (weather warnings, storms, wind, and lots of great company). We raised just over $15,000. Due to Covid, the 2020 lemonade stand was cancelled, along with many other events. However, this year we are happy to announce a new date for our lemonade stand in August. More details to come in the near future.
We are grateful for all the blessings we have and are so excited for a great summer.
