Which merit badge will spark your interest ? Could you be the next Steve Spielberg?

Eagle Scout Legend: Steven Spielberg

Saturday is National Cinema Day, what better way to celebrate than by recognizing one of the most influential filmmakers of all time, Steven Spielberg!

An 🦅⚜️ Eagle Scout and 🏅 Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (DESA) recipient, Spielberg’s passion for filmmaking began during his Scouting years. While working on his 📷 Photography merit badge, a young Spielberg created an 8mm film that helped spark his lifelong career in visual storytelling.

Spielberg was also instrumental in creating the Moviemaking merit badge, giving Scouts the chance to explore the art of filmmaking. 🎥

From Jaws and E.T. to Jurassic Park and Schindler's List, Spielberg has inspired generations of filmmakers and moviegoers. His story is a reminder that the creativity and skills developed through Scouting can become the foundation for extraordinary things.
