50 Years of Helping Hungry Children and Families in Macomb County.
To celebrate this milestone, today Macomb Food Program’s Volunteer Board Members presented 50 Macomb County food pantries with $500 each in “Food Only” gift cards to support their missions. This unique partnership between the Macomb Food Program, the Community Food Bank of Macomb County and their network of 50 pantries has grown from serving 625 families in 1975 to 150,000 families last year. This donation is in addition to $150,000 in support directly to the Community Food Bank to assist local pantries.
Thanks to our generous donors who help make this work possible l

💡What to expect at the distribution:
No appointment is needed. When you arrive, our volunteers will ask a few questions. Everything is based on self-disclosure. You’ll be asked for your name, whether you’re a Michigan resident, how many people are in your household and how you qualify.

Eligibility can be based on several factors, such as income, participation in assistance programs, or simply an urgent need for food.
If you are arriving by car, you may remain in your vehicle and volunteers will load items for you. Walk-up guests are welcome and can check in with a volunteer for assistance.
