Halloween is almost here, and while the Crocker House won’t be celebrating with all of you, we just had to bring out our skeleton. 💀

As you walk or drive past the museum, take a minute to take a picture with our spooky, scary skeleton maid - Maude. She’s helping us tidy up in the vestibule.

Happy Halloween. Stay safe and stay scary! 🎃🕷️🐈‍⬛

Excuse our mess! Restoration at work! 👷🚧

One of the most amazing things about the Crocker House Museum is seeing how the 157 year old house changes and adapts. We have been in dire need of roof repairs for a while now, and the workers at Extreme Home Improvement got started this morning. They will be hard at work making sure that we can stay dry and warm this winter and can continue to serve as the Macomb County Historical Society for years to come.

We're disappointed to announce that our Hallowe'en at the Manor event is cancelled due to much needed roof repair and maintenance work on the Crocker House.

These repairs are necessary to ensure the Crocker House continues to offer historic tours and host events to the Macomb County community.

Thank you so much for your understanding.

Thank you to all of those who volunteered, participated, donated, sponsored, and advertised our 2026 Cemetery Walk event! 💀🪦

We’re so grateful to our sponsors, The Mount Clemens Foundation and the Kiwanis Club of Mount Clemens, Ruehle’s Towing for loaning us their golf cart, the Clinton Grove Cemetery for hosting us, and Stephen Saph and Diane Dueweke for creating and donating the 5 amazing raffle baskets.

We welcomed over 230 people to the historic Clinton Grove Cemetery to share in Macomb County History and learn about the founders and builders of Mount Clemens. Thank you to all of those who attended this event for supporting the Crocker House Museum. We couldn’t have done it without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and those who donated their time to make sure that this event went so well.

We look forward to welcoming even more guests next fall. 🍂🎃

Thank you MLive for featuring The Crocker House!

We’re so grateful to be featured in your publication and share Macomb County’s rich history.

Shoutout too for our amazing Board President, Barb Dempsey, and fantastic docent and volunteer, Linda Paton, for interviewing with Mallory and giving her a taste of what the Crocker House Museum has to offer.

Nestled near downtown Mount Clemens, the museum gives visitors a look inside the late-Victorian-era home, with restored rooms, period artifacts and informational exhibits. Visitors can walk through the kitchen, dining room and other restored rooms in the house, including the servants’ quarters upstairs.
