Happy Monday Mount Clemens Optimist Club Supporters! 🙂

We are still taking registrations for participants to host a trunk for our annual Trunk or Treat event. 🎃👻 The registration fee is $25 plus an ask of 1500 pieces of candy to pass out to the hundred of kids and families who will attend.

Additional ways to help:

A financial contribution of any size to the Mount Clemens Optimist Club.

A trunk or treat event sponsorship. $300 includes two trunk registrations, logo and business acknowledgement on our banner and passing out of any literature.

A candy donation to help support all those hosting trunks. 🍫🍭🍬

All checks and registration forms can be sent to Nickel and Saph Insurance, 44 Macomb Place, Mount Clemens, 48043. Candy donations can be dropped off there during normal business hours or contact any club member.

Registrations are due Wednesday October 21st!

We can wait to see all your creativity for your trunks! And thank you for supporting the Mount Clemens Optimist Club.

Happy Tuesday! Here is our corrected flyer for the Trunk or Treat event on Saturday October 24th!

There are many ways to support our Optimist Club with this event, including hosting a trunk, event sponsorship, a direct donation to the club or a candy donation!

The Mount Clemens Optimist Club is looking for participants for the 2026 Trunk or Treat on Saturday October 24th! This is a major fundraiser for our club! The Trunk or Treat will be held at the County Parking Garage from 12pm-3pm.

There are several ways you can help to support.
To host a trunk is $25 plus an ask to bring 1500 pieces of candy. Please make checks out to the Mount Clemens Optimist Club!

A $300 event sponsorship includes two trunk registrations, your business or organizations logo on our banner and your literature to be passed out to attendees. Checks to be made out to the Mount Clemens Optimist Club

Fiscal donations of any kind can be made to the Mount Clemens Optimist Club!

Or a donation of candy would be greatly appreciated to help ensure hundreds of youth will have a great event.

On Friday, August 14, 2026, the Mount Optimist Club participated in a horseshoe contest, along with three charities, at Dickweeds bar. We didn't win, but we had fun playing. Michael Schichtel and Corey Walker played for our team.

Optimist Club Photo Series: Yesterday, 9/7/2026, our club President Mike Schichtel, Michigan Optimist Governor David Putt and several members from the Central Macomb Optimist Club had the pleasure to march in the Romeo Peach Festival Hometown Parade!

It was a wonderful day with community and fellow optimist members who follow the core motto of "Bringing Out the Best in Kids".

Our great thanks to Macomb County Deputy Public Works Commissioner, Don Brown, for visiting our club at our monthly meeting on Wednesday June 10th. Mr. Brown was appointed by Public Works Commissioner Candice Miller.

Don provided our members copies of the Macomb County Public Works 2026 Bi-Annual report, gave us some great information and updates and answered all of our club members questions on various projects.

Our board member Carolee Schmid shared with Mr. Brown the Optimist International Mission and our club shared our Optimist Creed.

We look forward to seeing you at future events.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dave Gagnon and the Cellar 104 team for their exceptional hospitality during our New Optimist Welcome event this evening for the Mount Clemens Optimist Club.

Mr. Gagnon commenced the evening with an insightful presentation on the history of Cellar 104, followed by a comprehensive W**e 101 session covering w**emaking processes, varietals, and related topics.

Club President Mike Schichtel and Michigan Optimist Governor Dave Putt provided attendees with a historical overview of Optimist International and the Mount Clemens Optimist Club.

Members Stephen Saph Jr. and Erika Bradbury shared personal accounts of their engagement with the club, emphasizing the significance of continuing the legacy of community service work in Mount Clemens and Macomb County.

Guests enjoyed a selection of charcuterie snacks and w**e. We formally inducted new members Brad and Erica Bible. Our door prize recipients, Brad Bible and Carolee Schmid, were presented with exquisite candy boxes from Ch*****ne Chocolates.

Optimist Club Photo Series: Honoring Hometown Treasures 🥇

On Monday, March 16th, 2026, Mount Clemens honored Local Treasures of the city of Mount Clemens for their wonderful work and dedication.
