Exciting News: The Lynchburg Historical Foundation will now be hosting a History Happy Hour every month featuring a signature cocktail and a story from Lynchburg and Central Virginia's fascinating past! And we're digging into the stuff they didn't teach you in school!
We'll kick off the series on July 3rd with the harrowing tale of Jack Jouett, Virginia's own Paul Revere, and Thomas Jefferson's escape from British capture. This one will be held at the Miller Claytor House, where Jefferson was known to rack up the occasional bar tab. More information, including where to buy tickets, will be available soon so check back!!
In the meantime, we are looking for an annual sponsor for this event! If you or your business is interested in partnering with us as the official sponsor of History Happy Hour for 2026, please email [email protected]
