Join us October 8 at 7:30 PM for An Evening with Amy Grant & Mac McAnally — a special night filled with beloved songs, new music, stories, and extraordinary musicianship.

✨ Amy Grant, six-time GRAMMY® Award winner and Kennedy Center Honoree, brings more than four decades of timeless music spanning gospel, pop, and contemporary Christian sounds. She’ll also celebrate her first album of new music in more than a decade, The Me That Remains.

🎸 Joining her is legendary singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mac McAnally, a record-setting 10-time CMA Musician of the Year and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, whose songwriting credits include Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Alabama, and Sawyer Brown.

Together, Grant and McAnally promise an intimate evening of music, stories, and the songs that have left a lasting mark on generations of listeners. ❤️

There are a lot of reasons to gather at the Academy.
We gather for performances that bring us to our feet. For classes that spark something new. For exhibitions that change the way we see our community. We gather to celebrate, learn, create, and experience something together.

There's still time to help shape what's next at the Academy!
Our 2026 Academy Center of the Arts Community Survey closes tomorrow, and we'd love to hear from you if you haven't had a chance to participate.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and every response helps us better understand how we can continue serving our community through performances, classes, exhibitions, and events.
As a reminder, everyone who completes the survey by August 9 will be entered to win one of three prizes:
$250 Blackwater Bikes gift certificate
$150 gift certificate toward any Academy Center Presents performance

✨ First Friday is tonight! ✨ Celebrate a new month of art at the Academy Center of the Arts during First Friday.

On Friday, August 7, from 5–8 PM, explore two new exhibitions in the Patricia Harrington Gallery: This and That by Purnell Pettyjohn and The Light You Return To by Sally Goodrich.

Through expressive watercolors and impressionistic landscapes, these exhibitions highlight the beauty of everyday moments and the lasting connection we share with the places that inspire us. Together, they offer unique perspectives on color, memory, light, and the world around us.

Want to learn more about the artists and their work? Join us again on Saturday, August 15, from 1–2 PM for a special Artist Talk with Purnell Pettyjohn and Sally Goodrich as they share the inspirations, techniques, and stories behind their exhibitions.

Whether you’re discovering these works for the first time or returning for a deeper conversation, we look forward to welcoming you for an inspiring celebration of art and community.
