Our community Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease program finished this morning at Sweet Briar College... but we're not finished walking!

Participants shared that they really enjoyed the accountability of having a scheduled group. All expressed a desire to keep walking together. Physical improvements were made, too: stronger knees, better flexibility, and lowered resting heart rate! One of our walkers shared that she always thought walking her dogs was enough, but now that she's completed this six-week course, she realized that this five-step walking program is much better for her overall health and mobility.

CVACL would like to thank The Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation for financially supporting our program, and Virginia Department of Health for our workbooks.

There will be a modified version of WWE with Lynchburg Parks and Recreation beginning October 8. Registration is limited, so sign up now!

Please note: CVACL will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 7.
