Anne’s Family Services has been serving families in Los Angeles for more than 113 years and today is a premiere social service agency. Since first opening its doors in 1908 as a home for pregnant women with nowhere else to turn, St. Anne’s has grown into one of the most highly regarded social service agencies - rising to the challenge of meeting the ever-changing needs of Los Angeles' most vulnerable populations by offering an array of comprehensive services that promote the safety, resilience, and ongoing achievement of the children and families we serve. Anne’s Family Services offers an array of comprehensive programs including: short-term residential therapeutic program; supportive housing including transitional housing and permanent supportive housing; mental health; early childhood education; family literacy; workforce development, as well as access to, and collaborations with, other agencies and providers. COA accreditation means that our organization’s programs, services, administration, and management have been rigorously evaluated and meet best practice standards. For more than 14 years, St. Anne's has received four-star ratings from Charity Navigator, indicating strong transparency, accountability and financial viability. Our Mission: Working together to build safe, nurturing and resilient families - from pregnancy to parenthood and childhood to adulthood - for generations to come.

Our Director of Quality Assurance, Carlos Tobar, has been part of St. Anne’s Family Services since 2006, overseeing complex contracts for all five of our programs. 🌟

That work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact reaches every child and family in our care. It requires patience, care, and a deep belief in our mission.

Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🍎📚

Today, we want to take a moment to thank every educator across our learning centers and home-based services for playing such a crucial role in carrying out our mission.

Our Early Childhood Education teams are building classrooms where children feel safe, curious, and loved. Our teams providing home-based services bring that same care to families at their kitchen tables and living room floors.

Educators, the work you do shapes how children learn and believe in themselves. It also helps families see what’s possible for their children. That is a gift, and we don’t take it lightly. No matter where you teach, please remember that you are making an impact and changing our families’ lives for the better.

Today, we’re honoring Anna López, Vice President of our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Division. With over 20 years in early childhood education, Anna oversees our Early Learning Centers and Home-Based program, leading our ECE teams with grace and compassion.

Thank you, Anna, for being a great example of leadership for our ECE teams and for ensuring our families have what they need for school preparedness and quality care. We are so grateful to have you on our team! ✨

In honor of Latino/a Heritage Month, we’re celebrating Veronica Ortega, whose story reflects resilience and strength. 🌟

Her journey with St. Anne’s Family Services began when she was a new mother in search of childcare. Today, she serves as a member of our incredible Early Childhood Education division and she was recognized as the Triumph Award honoree at this year’s Evening of Angels Gala.

Congratulations, Veronica and thank you for your commitment to this organization. We’re so proud to celebrate you! 🎉

September is Baby Safety Month and at St. Anne’s Family Services, we support baby safety beginning during pregnancy by connecting mothers with doulas to prepare for healthy pregnancies and successful labor. 🧸🍼

From there, our nursing staff works alongside families to promote safe sleep, safe play, and safe choices from the very first day of a child’s life. Safety of babies isn’t a single moment. It’s a continuum, and we’re committed to standing with our mothers, babies, and families every step of the way and providing as much support as needed. 💛

We appreciate organizations like Baby Safety Alliance that are prioritizing education and conversation around baby safety at every stage and we will continue to do our part to continue the impact!

Earlier this year, we hosted our Evening of Angels Gala that reminded us of the responsibility we carry. Every family we serve is looking for a way forward, and our job is to help light the paths that best serve them. 🕯️

Carrying the light means showing up when a young mother doesn’t know her next step or guiding a person toward the resources they didn’t know existed. It’s not a single grand gesture. It’s the everyday work of illuminating a brighter path, one family at a time.

Carrying the light forward is the mission for us and we’re honored to do it every single day! 💛

Supporting a good cause with great company. ⛳

Our president and CEO, Lorna, had the pleasure of spending the day at the 30th Annual Jesuit Charities Golf Tournament supporting the Dolores Mission community, and made sure to connect with our longtime friend and community leader Rev. Brendan Busse, S.J. while she was there. 🏌️
