The Hospitality Training Academy applauds Governor Gavin Newsom for signing AB 2634 into law, affirming California’s commitment to workforce training programs that lift up communities and create pipelines to life-changing employment. This new law could not be more timely as global events coming to Los Angeles drive demand for a skilled hospitality workforce essential to being a world-class host. AB 2634 will help strengthen critical industries that can’t be shipped overseas, expand access to good union jobs, and build a more resilient, inclusive economy.

As they near Graduation Day, our current HTA Line Cook Registered Apprenticeship class hosted a Community Buffet for friends and family, HTA staff and instructors. 

They created a delicious meal using their newly-mastered culinary techniques – talk to us about the Braised Pork Belly, Dry-Rubbed Baby Back Ribs, King Mushroom Carnitas Vegan Tacos, Beet & Goat Cheese Salad, Carrot Cake and more! We could also taste the passion and love of the craft.  It was a great gathering full of pride and teamwork, and a testament to their hard work  – congratulations! 

And a thank you to our partners Hub Cities Consortium for joining as our special guests and for your valuable collaboration and support!
