It's no surprise that MAGA is trying to change the rules before a monumental midterm election season that will determine which party controls Congress. 🗣️ But Californians have the power to fight back; here's how:

🔸 In California, Prop 39 is a billionaire-backed voter ID bill that would make it harder for eligible voters to cast a ballot ➡️ Vote NO ❌

🔸 In Congress, MAGA representatives continue to push for the SAVE Act by disguising it in unrelated bills ➡️ Tell your Congress members to REJECT it ❌

🕵🏻‍♂️There are now over 100,000 Flock cameras on the streets of the U.S.👀

And there are probably some on the street you drive on every day collecting data about your car and where you’re going on a daily basis.

This data is shared with police departments near you, but due to the lack of regulation, it has also likely been accessed without authorization and abused by federal agencies, stalker ex-law enforcement partners, and has low accuracy rates when it comes to what the cameras were designed to do - find stolen cars, traffic offenders, and missing people.

Earlier this month, Courage California and NextGen Politics California came together for an interactive youth-focused California State Policy Virtual Workshop.

This workshop provided a mini 101 on civic engagement and how students and young voters can move the needle on the issues they care about by advocating for progressive state bills during the legislative session.

Experienced advocates from California Environmental Voters , ACLU California Action, and TechEquity shared their insights on how to effectively lobby state leaders and make progressive change in state policies.
