Last Saturday, the Dream Center joined Good Neighbor Day America alongside churches, organizations, and communities across the country all with one mission: love your neighbor well

From serving families and connecting with our city to bringing hope, encouragement, and practical support across Los Angeles, it was such a powerful day filled with joy, purpose, and community. There’s something special about seeing people from all walks of life come together to make a difference.

This is what the Dream Center has always been about: showing up, serving people, and reminding our city that they are loved.

Our Fostering Hope Women’s Luncheon brought together so many incredible people to support foster youth and families across Los Angeles. From hearing firsthand stories of hope and restoration to sponsoring gift baskets, bidding in the auction, and gathering around a shared mission, every moment carried purpose.

One of the most special parts of the day was hearing from foster youth and families whose lives have been impacted through the Dream Center’s Foster Care Intervention and Foster Youth programs. Their courage, honesty, and hope reminded us why this work matters so deeply.

Because of your generosity, more children and families will receive practical support, encouragement, stability, and care when they need it most.

What began as a vision to bring awareness and support to children and families impacted by foster care has now become a room full of people ready to make a difference.

Yesterday, we had the honor of celebrating the incredible moms of the Dream Center with a special Mother’s Day brunch 💐🤍

Our team cooked breakfast, hosted games, and created a space where moms could relax, be encouraged, and simply enjoy being celebrated. From cute games to tote bag painting, every detail was designed to remind these women how valued they are.

One of the sweetest moments of the day was watching each child go on stage to share why they love their mom and how they see God’s love through her. They then presented their moms with handmade cards, flowers with Polaroid photos attached, and a special devotional gift: Jesus Listens for Moms by Sarah Young — generously donated by for the mothers at the Dream Center.

These devotionals are filled with prayers, encouragement, and reminders of God’s presence for moms in every season of life, and it was such a meaningful gift for each woman to take home.

We’re so grateful for everyone who helped make this day special and for the opportunity to celebrate these amazing moms who give so much every single day 🌷

For the past two years, our team has had the privilege of visiting Jose every Tuesday through our grocery delivery outreach in William Mead.

Jose and his wife are pillars in their community, always opening their home, sharing meals with our outreach team, and creating space for fellowship and connection. Jose is also a professional accordion player, bringing joy through his music wherever he goes.

Their love for their neighbors reflects the love of the Gospel in such a beautiful and tangible way, and we’re grateful to walk alongside families like theirs each week.
