Join us on 10/21 at ARC Studios (2107 Bellevue Ave LA, CA 90026) at 5:30pm for an evening of documentary shorts celebrating the power of community in reentry.

The evening, presented by Justice & the Next 250 and ARC, will feature two incredible films:

“The Second Life of Freddie Nole”, dir. by Dana Nachman, about a former lifer who finds purpose driving people home from incarceration, and “American River”, dir. by Dara Horenblas, which follows three ARC members experiencing nature for the first time on our annual river rafting trip.

There will be a brief Q&A with the filmmakers and subjects after the screening, followed by food and drinks!

Swipe? Insert? What’s the pin again? Coming home after 29 years can be daunting but we’re glad Theodore figured it out, and continues to figure it out.

We’re here to help.

Thank you to our Ride Home drivers, Miguel Angel Silva and Melody Huapaya for the footage.

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves: we’re ARC and we work to end mass incarceration in California through advocacy, workforce and education, community outreach, and believing in second chances.

We’ve brought home over 202 folks using our Ride Home Program this year, employed over 222 with CalFire, and have passed over 30 pieces of legislation to date.

To join us, give us a follow and sign up for our newsletter, link in bio!

Meet Renee. After a total of 26 years incarcerated, she is finally home. Not every Ride Home journey is a smooth one but we thank Renee for being a trooper, even after an emergency room visit!

Thank you to our Ride Home drivers, Miguel Angel Silva and Melody Huapaya for the footage.
