Majorities now pass local funding ballot measures to backstop federal cuts to schools and parks. Prop 43 raises that bar to two-thirds. A mere 33% of voters can block what most of your neighbors want. Hardest-hit, of course, are measures that ask corporations and rich property owners to pay their share.

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, whose Prop 13 has drained local budgets for 50 years, wants to squeeze more. But you can stop them. Vote NO on 43 this election.

Fourteen props on the California ballot. Here are four that really matter:
No on 39: Billionaires aim to make your mail ballot less secure.
No on 43: Your community loses even if you have the numbers to decide what it needs.
Yes on 3: Keeps money in schools. Billionaires pay their share.
Yes on 1: $11.25 billion for homes people can afford.

Vote early and don't forget these.

The choice: money for your kids, or for the top 2%? Prop 3 keeps $15 billion a year in California schools. Californians approved this tax in 2012 and kept them in 2016. Prop 3 removes the 2031 expiration date, and nobody's rate goes up.

Trump and his cronies already took health care and food aid from California to enrich billionaires. Schools must not take the next hit. Yes on 3.
