🌕📚 Plot twist: The physicist is also a children’s book author! 🚀✨
What do rocket science, space exploration, and children’s books have in common? More than you might think! 💫
I’m excited to be part of the 2026 Belmont Shore Book Fair in Long Beach, California, where I’ll be taking the Main Stage for a special STEM Spotlight!
🎤 From STEM to Storytelling: Why Does a Physicist and Reliability Engineer Write Children’s Books?
As a physicist, reliability engineer, and children’s book author writing as K. L. Carter, I’ve spent more than 20 years in STEM. But science and storytelling have something powerful in common: curiosity, imagination, and the courage to explore what’s possible.
Through books like Let’s Chase the Moon, illustrated by the talented Lika Kvirikashvili, I bring together space, family, ADHD awareness, neurodiversity, and representation to create stories where children can see themselves, feel understood, and dream BIG. 🌙
Because representation matters. Children’s literacy matters. And every child deserves access to stories that spark curiosity, build empathy, and inspire a sense of belonging. 💛
✨ Let’s talk books, science, creativity, and everything in between!
