🎉Can you dig it, Long Beach? State of the Arts is BACK, and we are bringing the ultimate 70’s groove to Downtown! We are sharing the block with The Downtown Long Beach Alliance's DTLB Live! EZ Sip event. They are two separate events coming together for one big celebration. Catch us on the Promenade South at The Promenade Square Park.

Join us on Saturday, September 19, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Promenade Square Park for a free evening of community connection, dancing, and total art immersion.

Here is the lowdown on what we’re bringing to The Promenade South:
🛍️Local vendors from Long Beach City College
🏅 District “Art’s heroes” brief award ceremony (Kept short so we can dance more!)
🍻 Cash bar with drinks available for purchase (Drink up! Beverage sales directly support ArtsLB)

We’re so grateful to have Samantha with us, and we’re excited for all that’s ahead.

Special thanks to **LADAC** for sponsoring this internship and helping create paid opportunities for artists to gain hands-on experience while supporting nonprofits like ours.

The Public Art Maintenance Microgrant provides funding to help artists restore and protect existing public murals. Applicants may request up to $1,000 for materials needed for repairs or protective coatings, whether a mural has been defaced or requires routine maintenance.

This grant supports artists and property owners working together to care for murals that have deteriorated over time. Awards range from $250 to $1,000 and may be used for services such as power washing, cleaning, and related maintenance efforts.

Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants include artists with publicly visible murals in Long Beach, original artists restoring their own work, and artists who have received permission to restore an existing mural. Proposed projects must preserve the original mural design.
