The City of Long Beach Youth Art Contest deadline has been extended to June 30! 🎨

Long Beach students now have extra time at the start of summer to create and submit their artwork for a chance to win cash prizes.

- Open to all Long Beach students in Kindergarten through 8th grade
- Grades K–5: win $100
- Grades 6–8: win $250

Encourage the young artists in your life to participate and share their creativity this summer. Submissions are open now through June 30.

The Public Art Maintenance Microgrant provides funding for artists to restore and protect existing public murals. Whether a mural has been defaced or simply needs a protective coating, artists can apply for up to $1,000 to cover materials and restoration costs for their artwork.

This grant is intended for both artists and property owners who are collaborating with artists to restore and maintain murals that have deteriorated over time.

Funding amounts range from $250 to $1,000 for the repair of these artworks. Additionally, the grant can be used for preventative maintenance tasks, such as power washing, cleaning, and applying protective coatings.

**Who Can Apply?**
1. Artists with murals visible to the public in Long Beach.
2. Original artists or those restoring work with the artist's or estate's permission.

🎨 Theme: Celebrating the Beauty and Spirit of Long Beach
