This November, while the Bembridge House closes temporarily for its annual holiday transformation, Long Beach Heritage is taking you somewhere different: the Perry Porter House. Guests will have the rare opportunity to experience another historic Long Beach residence, hear its story, explore its architecture and details, and see preservation from a more personal perspective.

I checked into the Willmore a very long time ago.

Funny thing is… I don’t remember ever checking out.

On October 24, you’re invited to wander our halls during the Haunting History Tour at the Willmore Building. Visit the grand lobby, Solarium, Pike Museum and rooftop while meeting a few of us who still have stories to tell.

Come dressed for the 1920s—or dressed for the grave. We won’t judge.

Saturday, October 24 | 3–6 PM
$30 adults | Children accompanied by an adult are free

Do come visit.

It gets terribly lonely when the living stay away.

THE BLUES ARE COMING TO BEMBRIDGE.

Long Beach Heritage is proud to present an afternoon with Bernie Pearl Trio at the historic Bembridge House!

Bernie Pearl has spent a lifetime in the blues—as a performer, producer, festival creator, radio host, and student of the legendary Lightnin’ Hopkins. On Sunday, October 4, he brings that history to our garden for an intimate live performance with Elizabeth Hangan & Albert Trepagnier Jr., featuring special guests Ray Bailey & Marguaret Love.

And stay after the music! Bernie will be signing copies of …Sittin’ on the Right Side of the Blues: A Life in the Blues following the show.

Come hear the music—and meet one of the people who has spent a lifetime helping keep the blues alive.

On Saturday, October 24, the historic Willmore Building opens its doors for a Haunting History Tour through nearly a century of Long Beach stories.

Wander the grand lobby, creep down an upper-floor hallway, brave the chilling Solarium, explore the Pike Museum, and climb to the rooftop—encountering eerie scenes and stories of former residents along the way.

October 24 | 3–6 PM
$30 adults | Children with an adult are free
Period and spooky attire encouraged!

All proceeds benefit historic preservation.

The Willmore has been standing for more than a century. Some of its residents may still be standing with it.
