Our partner, UC Davis Health, created HALO, a support group where parents can share their experiences, find understanding, and honor the babies they’ve lost. One mother’s personal memorial inspired an annual remembrance event that continues to bring families together through grief and healing.

💙 FIRST-EVER IN-UTERO STEM CELL THERAPY FOR SPINA BIFIDA

Our partners at UC Davis Health have reached an extraordinary milestone in fetal therapy: the world’s first treatment combining fetal surgery with placenta-derived stem cells to repair spina bifida.

The first six babies treated in the Phase 1 trial had successful repairs with no safety concerns related to the stem cells. The trial is now moving forward to its next phase, exploring whether stem cells can help protect and heal the developing spinal cord.

We’re proud to partner with UC Davis and to support the work advancing what’s possible for babies diagnosed with spina bifida. 💙
