💙 One introduction. Two incredible partnerships. Here's the story.

Our connection to Hearty Provisions — a Colorado food distributor that sources fresh, local ingredients from regional farms — came through the Arapahoe Food Coalition. And that one introduction opened a door we didn't even know was there.

Big news! ✨ Break Bread has earned the 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid — the highest seal a nonprofit can receive!

The Platinum Seal means we've met the highest standards of accountability and transparency — so you can feel confident that your support is making a real difference.

Break Bread is a free, barrier-free community meal program serving the tri-cities area of Littleton, Colorado. No ID. No income check. No barriers. Just good food and good company, open to everyone.

We just relaunched after a brief pause, and we are so grateful to be back at the table 🍽️ Join us every Thursday, 4–6 PM, at East Community Center.

Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and partner who makes this possible. This seal belongs to all of you.

Big news, friends! 🎉

This month, Break Bread officially kicks off a 12-week pro bono marketing project with Xcel Energy Foundation and — and we are SO excited.

A team of Xcel Energy subject matter experts will work with us through August to help us build a full marketing and outreach strategy, including storytelling tools, a social media plan, donor and volunteer outreach campaigns, and a corporate partnership guide. This partnership grew in part out of a day of service that Xcel did with us in September.

For a small nonprofit like ours, this kind of professional support is a true gift. Thank you to and HandsOn Twin Cities for believing in our mission and investing in our community. 💙

We are SO back. 💙
These first couple of weeks back feeding our neighbors have reminded us exactly why we do this work. Seeing familiar faces, meeting new neighbors, and sharing a warm meal together — there truly is nothing like it.

Thank you to everyone who has come out, volunteered, donated, and cheered us on. You showed up for us, and we are showing up for our neighbors because of you. Each week thus far we have served almost 100 meals to our neighbors!

If you haven't made it out yet, we're here every Thursday from 4:00–6:00 PM at East Community Center in Littleton. Come as you are — meals are always free and barrier-free. 💙

Before we could serve our first meal back, we needed to get our kitchen and office organized and ready to go — and two incredible groups showed up to make it happen.

Volunteers from and came together to organize and inventory our kitchen and office space, giving us the foundation we needed to hit the ground running. This is what community looks like in action.
