🚨 KODA NEEDS A COLORADO FOSTER! 🚨

Koda is currently being fostered in Texas, but we want to bring this handsome little guy to Colorado — and we need a foster home for him! 🩵🐾

Koda is about 4 months old and 21 lbs and is seriously the sweetest little guy. He’s smart, playful, affectionate, kid friendly, cat friendly, kennel trained, learning the leash, and doing AMAZING with his foster. He’s even working on potty training and has had zero accidents so far! 🥹

💙 Koda will be neutered soon, before he arrives in Colorado.

We have transport to Colorado — we just need his foster!

Hello everyone!

I thought I’d introduce myself — I’m Becca! I help Pound Pitties with our website, and more recently I’ve also taken on some of our treasury responsibilities.

As you all know, Pound Pitties is a nonprofit rescue, and the donations and adoption fees we receive are incredibly important. Those funds go right back into caring for the pups currently in our rescue and helping us continue saving more dogs.

As part of getting our records caught up, starting next week I’ll be reaching out individually to anyone whose records show an outstanding adoption fee. If you adopted a pup and realized you may have forgotten to pay your adoption fee, no worries — life happens! We just ask that you get that taken care of when you can.

If you believe you already paid and we somehow missed it in our records, just let me know and we’ll get it sorted out!

We absolutely love what we do and love being able to help these dogs, but unfortunately saving pups comes with plenty of expenses too. Every adoption fee and donation helps us continue doing that work.

Cale Update

We appreciate all the love and attention Cale is getting! ❤️ However, he’s not quite ready to find his forever home just yet.

Cale is a sweet, dog-friendly boy, but he needs to work on some leash reactivity and learn how to properly meet other dogs. His reactivity is not aggressive, but he doesn’t currently know how to navigate introductions appropriately, and we want to make sure we set him—and everyone around him—up for success.

Once his foster returns from out of town, Cale will begin training to work on these skills. Until then, proper dog introductions cannot be made because of his current reactivity.

We’re going to take our time and do this the right way rather than rushing him into a home before he’s ready. 🐾

We’ll post an adoption announcement with an application link once Cale is officially ready!

We have a new Treasurer!

Becca has kindly agreed to take on the role of Treasurer, and we are so grateful to have her stepping up to help our rescue continue doing what we do best—saving dogs and giving them the second chances they deserve.

We thought Popcorn had a spot-had an amazing meet and greet and then he decided it wasn’t for him. So now we are back to the drawing board for her!
🚨Popcorn cannot be crated
🚨Popcorn can’t be left alone for 30 days while she completes her SA training

💜She has a prepaid separation anxiety program which can be done from the comfort of your home
💜We are also offering doggy daycare if you need to run errands or something
💜She is dog, cat and kid friendly!
