"Recently, I found myself in the card section at a local store where my eyes began to wander up and down the rows looking for the perfect graduation card. A survivor that I have been mentoring the past few years is doing their final exams right now as they prepare to graduate from high school in a few short weeks. As part of the rituals ignited within this celebration, I will soon be attending their graduation open house—a moment representing the changing of seasons, a closure of childhood and the anticipation of new experiences to come. In these moments, I’m reminded that endings are necessary for growth and a natural part of our journey, even when they’re hard."
