National Trafficking Sheltered Alliance — Through creating a first-of-its-kind database and referral network for shelter and services, the NTSA is focused on helping service providers collaborate and coordinate resources for survivors of trafficking. Our partnership will enable NTSA to take the innovative technology we’ve been developing and integrate all of our critical work on the application and prototype directly into their existing platform to create a hub for national and community-based resourcing.

The Avery Center for Research & Services — Through research and direct services, The Avery Center is leading change-makers in local and national communities to end commercial sexual exploitation by reducing demand, convicting traffickers, and decreasing barriers for marginalized populations. Our collaboration will create services for boys and LGBTQ+ youth being trafficked, as well as foster more comprehensive access to services and support such as counseling, job training, community-building activities, and peer leadership development.

"Recently, I found myself in the card section at a local store where my eyes began to wander up and down the rows looking for the perfect graduation card. A survivor that I have been mentoring the past few years is doing their final exams right now as they prepare to graduate from high school in a few short weeks. As part of the rituals ignited within this celebration, I will soon be attending their graduation open house—a moment representing the changing of seasons, a closure of childhood and the anticipation of new experiences to come. In these moments, I’m reminded that endings are necessary for growth and a natural part of our journey, even when they’re hard."

What's a small act of kindness that you have done lately? | One person cannot provide all the resources that a survivor of human trafficking needs, instead just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a community joining together to provide a community of support to survivors of exploitation.

Sometimes giving looks like championing a cause and starting a movement of kindness towards other people. Sometimes it looks like smiling at one who is hurting and is struggling to find their way to peace. Sometimes it looks like financial donations towards non-profits that are seeking to make a difference in the lives of others. Other times it looks like offering mentorship, time, and professional services to help others who are stuck in their own stories.

Giving is powerful. It changes lives—not only your own but those that you are showing love to today!
