Our event emcee Nate Zelinsky of Tightline Outdoors caught up with one of our fishing friends, Everett, to hear all about his day on the water. When Nate asked how it went, Everett did not hold back: he loves fishing, and he loves this organization.

Nate said it best. “If you’ve ever wondered what C.A.S.T. is about, it’s this moment right here.”

It is. Moments like this are exactly why we show up year after year. Thank you, Everett, for sharing your day with us, and thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, and family who makes days like this possible.

The magic of our fourth annual C.A.S.T. for Kids Chatfield Reservoir event was made possible by an incredible group of sponsors and partners who believe every child deserves a victorious day on the water. From the gear in their hands to the lunch on the table to the smiles at the awards ceremony, your generosity touched every part of the day.

To each business and partner pictured here: thank you for showing up for these kids and their families. You helped give roughly 40 children with special needs a day they will not forget, alongside more than 100 volunteers who poured their hearts into every cast.

It’s almost time to get on the water! 🎣

Tomorrow is our fourth annual C.A.S.T. for Kids Chatfield Reservoir event, and we can’t wait to share a day full of fishing, smiles, and celebration with amazing kids and their families.

One week to go! Saturday, June 27, the C.A.S.T. for Kids Chatfield Reservoir event returns for its fourth year. We can’t wait to welcome 40 incredible kids and their families for a day of fishing, friendship, and celebration. The boats are almost ready and so are we.

Ask anyone at the C.A.S.T. for Kids Chatfield Reservoir event what the best part of the day is, and good luck getting a straight answer.

Is it the fishing? The boat rides? The thrill of feeling that tug on the line and reeling one in? Or is it swapping fish stories at the awards ceremony when the day is done, each one a little bigger than the last?

The truth is, there is no wrong answer. Every moment of this day is somebody’s favorite, and that is exactly what makes it so special.
