A new chapter for New Beginnings!

We’re excited to announce that we are officially offering Equine Assisted Therapy services at the Juvenile Detention Center in Kings County.

Through meaningful interactions with horses, our program gives young people opportunities to build trust, strengthen communication, and develop skills to navigate life’s challenges.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support these youth and look forward to the connections ahead!

Care and connection are at the heart of our programs at New Beginnings.

Today marks a major milestone for New Beginnings at Circle T Ranch.

After five years of dedicated effort, New Beginnings at Circle T Ranch and our valued partners at the California State University, Fresno Criminology Department have received approval to conduct research on the effects of our Rehabilitative Equine Assisted Learning program within Level II through Level IV incarceration facilities.

This research will help us better understand the program’s impact and strengthen our mission to create meaningful opportunities for growth, responsibility, communication, and positive change.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this possible. This is an exciting step forward for our program and the individuals we serve.

These meaningful interactions remind us that growth is possible and every day offers an opportunity for a new beginning.

Here, a correctional officer takes some time in the saddle, experiencing firsthand the connection that can develop between people and horses. These interactions aren’t only meaningful for program participants. They can also provide staff with an opportunity to slow down, connect, and experience the calming presence of a horse.

At New Beginnings at Circle T Ranch, our mission is to improve the quality of life for people facing PTSD, depression, addiction, and other psychological challenges through the unique connection horses can provide.

Moments like this are a great reminder of just how many people these programs can reach.
