FALLing in love with Thelma 🫶

Our sweet little chiweenie Thelma had a fall photoshoot with her foster sister, Button, and we are OBSESSED!

These two became instant besties, and honestly, could they be any cuter?!

Thelma is our happy-go-lucky, adventure-loving little lady who is STILL searching for her forever home. She adores kids, loves other dogs, and is always ready for a walk, car ride, or playdate! Don’t let her small, 13lb stature fool you — she’s a big dog in a little body! ❤️ born in our care on 1/12/26, she really is the total package. The only thing worse than being born homeless, is getting adopted… returned… and the looming potential of celebrating your first birthday without a family doting on you. So we have 4 months to share share share this girl and keep our paws crossed we finally reach her forever family before that happens 🐾

We know what you’re thinking … WAIT A MEOW-MENT… IS THAT A CAT?!

Everyone, meet MINTY!

This tiny girl’s story started when she was found all alone in a tree at just FIVE weeks old. Malnourished, dehydrated, and weighing next to nothing, Minty eventually landed in an overcrowded shelter, sick and needing a way out.

Thankfully, a friend of ours stepped up to help! And while rescuing kitties isn’t exactly our specialty, we agreed to help get this little lady healthy, vetted, and into the forever home she deserves.
At approximately 10 weeks old and a whopping TWO pounds, Minty is a petite little masterpiece. She’s a domestic shorthair with a gorgeous white coat, a tabby-striped tail, and one adorable little spot on her head.

Minty is Sweet, playful, and equipped with a purr motor that could rival a diesel truck! Funny enough, this little lady doesn’t actually meow! She’s more of a strong, silent type… with a VERY loud purr. She’s great with other kitties and while she can be shy of dogs to start, a slow intro with cat savvy dogs and she would do just fine with them.

Minty can be a little shy at first, but give her some time to settle in and you’ll discover one sweet, playful little kitten. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. She’s healthy, happy, and ready to trade her rough beginning for a lifetime of love, toys, cozy naps, and someone to appreciate her magnificent purr.

We may not be in the kitty business, but we’re definitely in the second-chance business. And Minty deserves hers just as much as any dog. Help us find this tiny, silent superstar her forever family!

We have some pretty adorable puppies hanging out in foster care, growing like weeds. While they won’t be available for adoption for some time, we want to put them on the map!

Amber (Brown female) and autumn (cream girl) are two sisters who came to us at just days old. We gave them estimated birthdays of 9/21/26 and they’ll be ready for adoption around 11/16/26. DNA is in and they are a little bit of everything with 14 breeds in their genetic makeup! But top 3?

45% Chihuahua
13% toy poodle
9% Pomeranian

We knew they were going to be small, but the confirmation is in the DNA!

Then of course Johnny Cash! (Black male). He came to us as a solo guy, no siblings in sight… but he’s got plenty of foster siblings to show him the ropes! We don’t know his breed, but we do know he will be larger. With an estimated DOB of 8/30/26, he’s still got some growing to do and will be available around the end of the month!

Stay tuned as we get to see their personalities flourish. All are being raised with dogs and cats and are sure to be some well rounded, LOVED babies 🐾

Let’s talk about Blake 🥹

We don’t know which puppy was the one who bravely lead animal control officers to the little cave they were living in, but if we had to guess, we’d say it was this guy!

Blake is 1 of 6, and currently one of the last two to be adopted. How is that so?! Our “pick me” social butterfly has been passed up too many times… it’s his turn!

We gave him an estimated birthday of 7/15/26, and he is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, on heartworm prevention, and ready to win over his new family.

He loves toys, loves ball play, is slowing coming around to the idea of swimming, and truly is the total package.

He is fantastic with kids/dogs/cats, and is working on his chicken/rabbit curiosity. He may look, occasionally may want to chase the chickens, but under supervision with correction this boy is easy to redirect.

He is food motivated, and is a breeze to train! Hes kennel trained, working on house training, and working on basic commands.

True to his breed, this fluffy little boy is a ball of energy at times. We’re looking for a home who is ready to provide mental stimulation and who finds dog training fun! We’ll even give you an awesome recommendation for a trainer in town.

Little dog. BIG personality. ZERO interest?! 🥺

We’re starting to wonder if Thelma is invisible, because HOW is this girl not getting more attention?!

At under 15 pounds and mostly full grown, Thelma is the perfect pint-sized adventure buddy with the personality of a dog three times her size!

Thelma absolutely ADORES kids, would LOVE another playful dog in her forever home, and is always up for whatever adventure you have planned. Walks? YES. Car rides? ABSOLUTELY. Meeting new people? SIGN HER UP! And at the end of the day? Give this girl a cozy lap to snuggle up on and you’ve just made her world.

She’s not your stereotypical shaky little chiweenie who wants to spend her days hiding in a purse. Nope! Thelma is a big dog trapped in a little body, and she has places to go, people to meet, and memories to make!

Thelma has already had a home that wasn’t forever. She was adopted as a puppy, only to find herself surrendered to a shelter when her family moved. Thankfully, her original foster mom came to her rescue, and we’ve promised this little girl that the next time she packs her bags, it’ll be for GOOD.

Thelma isn’t looking for a temporary stop. She’s looking for her people. The ones who will include her in family adventures, let her tag along for school pickups, toss a ball in the backyard, and love her for the rest of her life.

She’s small enough to take just about anywhere, but has enough personality to fill an entire house.

Thelma is ready for her happily ever after. Now we just need someone to notice her.

He’s cute, he’s chonky, and he KNOWS it. 😍🐾

Meet Bill, our resident short stack and professional heart stealer!

Bill came to us alongside his brother Ted after landing in an overcrowded shelter. Both boys were battling mange, worms, and upper respiratory infections, but those days are behind them! While we’ve had some applications come in for Bill (don’t worry, we’re not ignoring you! 😉), we wanted to make sure this handsome little house hippo was fully recovered from his neuter before sending him off to his forever family.

And now? He’s ready to roll. Literally. 🤣

Already pushing 20 pounds, Bill is LOW, chonky, floppy, and ridiculously adorable. If you’re a sucker for a house hippo, prepare to fall in love.

Bill is a happy, goofy, expressive little guy with eyebrows that deserve their own Instagram account. He’s a zoomie king who loves to play, but don’t mistake that for a high-energy dog! He’s more of a “I’ll pass on the five-mile hike, but watch me do 37 donuts in the backyard” kind of guy. 😂

He’s already sleeping through the night and has been such a GOOD puppy!

He seems to enjoy the company of other dogs and has had limited exposure with cats. While a slow, structured introduction could potentially work, we fully expect he’d be tempted to chase, so a cat-savvy home willing to put in the work would be important.

He has a whole lot of love, personality, and goofy bully charm to give!

We do have applications waiting for this handsome boy, and we’ll be working through those first. But if they aren’t the right fit, we’d love to have some wonderful families waiting in the wings!

Because somewhere out there is a family whose couch is missing a short, stocky, snorting little sidekick. And Bill is ready to fill that vacancy.
