Please join our region for an afternoon tea in Modesto with other Central California Janeites. Enjoy a traditional Dragonfly Buffet with tea sandwiches, scones with toppings, and sweets.
A gluten-free option is available at an additional charge, but please note that the tea room is NOT cross contamination free. A vegetarian (not vegan) option is available for no additional charge.

Regency costumes are admired but not required. Tea party or your “Sunday Best” attire is also encouraged.

The star of the picnic yesterday was this little gal! She’s the museum cat and keeps the rodents at bay. We named her Jane because she was so friendly and sweet. 🐈

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Picnic on Box Hill! We had a lovely time discussing Austen over tea and lemonade with a delightful spread of tea sandwiches, scones, cheese and crackers, fruit, and baked goods. Special thanks to The Sarah A. Mooney Memorial Museum for hosting us!

Please join JASNA Cen Cal for our first event of the year TOMORROW, SUNDAY, APRIL 26TH! Inspired by a memorable scene in Jane Austen’s novel, we will enjoy a picnic outside the beautiful Victorian mansion in Lemoore. We plan to discuss Emma and its various film adaptations.
