There are two truths we have to keep in mind when discussing IVF and surrogacy. First, all children are made in the image of God, regardless of how they are conceived. And second, infertility is a form of suffering so we must come alongside and love those who are infertile.

“Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.” – 1 Corinthians 4:2

In our culture today, success is largely determined by reaching certain milestones, accomplishing goals, and seeing tangible results. It is good to have God-honorable goals in life, but many believe failing to reach all of those goals means they’re objectively a failure.

The Bible, however, teaches that success is not measured by results alone. Instead, success is being faithful to the Lord. It’s doing what He has called you to do, day by day and moment by moment, wherever he has placed you to do it.

We are commanded to faithfully serve the Lord wherever He places us, and then, as we strive to accomplish all He has called us to do, we simply trust the Lord with the results. The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:5-7 tells us that we are the ones who do the planting and watering, but it is the Lord alone who gives the growth. God is the One who produces the results, and that is why it is He alone who receives the glory for any result.

As we seek to advance God-honoring legislation in our state capitol, influence our state and nation for the sake of Christ, and share the Gospel with the lost, let us be unshackled from measuring success by the outcomes. The results are up to the Lord. May we seek to be faithful in all of our endeavors for the Lord and rest in the truth that true success is faithfulness to the Lord.

LET US PRAY…

Father, help us to have the right view of success and to trust that when we are faithful to You, we are successful no matter the outcome of our work. Lord, we praise You for all the fruitful results that have come from our faithful labor for You. Father, strengthen us to be faithful to You wherever we are and to whatever You call us to. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Sports betting is literally everywhere. Over the last few years, sports betting and prediction markets have exploded. In fact, many high-profile professional athletes are even partnering with these sports betting platforms to advance the gambling industry. For example, in the NBA, LeBron James has partnered with Polymarket, and Kevin Durant has a deal with FanDuel to promote their betting platform.

However, one NBA phenom is standing on principle and made it clear that he will not partner with these predatory sports betting companies. Victor Wembanyama was recently asked by a group of reporters if he would ever become a brand ambassador for a sports gambling company and he responded courageously, saying, “Absolutely not… I would never do that. Honestly, I think it’s very sad to see some players promote it, in my opinion. Everybody does whatever they want, but without me.”

The gambling industry intentionally addicts people to their platforms, especially young men, to make more money off their addiction. Just recently, Massachusetts announced that it was investigating DraftKings for using Artificial Intelligence to target problem gamblers to get them to spend even more on their platform. Gambling addictions destroy lives and even lead some gamblers to commit su***de.

Because of this, it is encouraging to see someone with the star power of Victor Wembanyama refuse to promote such a harmful industry regardless of how much they’d pay him. No one should be endorsing these corrupt sports betting companies. America certainly could use more outspoken athletes who care more about people than they do the dollar bill.

Father, thank You for the courageous stand of Victor Wembanyama against the predatory sports gambling companies. Lord, please help more people in influential positions to stand against the gambling industry instead of joining with them to make a profit. Father, help Your people to realize that gambling is an unwise use of the resources that You have blessed us with. In Jesus name, amen.

The Trump Administration released the long-awaited proposed regulations for the Education Freedom Tax Credit program which showed that married couples filing jointly can receive a combined tax credit of up to $3,400 if they donate to an SGO. As Christian, we truly have an opportunity to fuel Christian education in our Commonwealth.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” – 2 Corinthians 3:17

The United States Supreme Court recently announced it will hear a pivotal religious liberty case from Northern Kentucky. It involves the Missionaries of St. John the Baptist and the Kentucky Supreme Court’s decision to deny their right to build an unassuming prayer shrine on their own property. The case stems back to March of 2021, when the Missionaries of St. John the Baptist applied for a permit to construct a grotto that would serve as a small sacred place for quiet prayer and reflection.

The very next month, in April of 2021, St. John’s permit was approved by the Park Hills Board of Adjustment, allowing for the construction of the prayer shrine. Two neighbors were not happy with the board’s approval and appealed the decision to Kentucky state court.

Originally, a state judge sided with the church, but the Kentucky Court of Appeals reversed the decision. The Kentucky Supreme Court then upheld the Appeals Court’s decision, which First Liberty Institute is arguing violated the “Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act” (RLUIPA). Kelly Shackelford, the CEO and Chief Counsel at First Liberty, said, “Telling a church it can’t build a modest place for prayer and reflection on its own property is outrageous… Federal law provides clear protections for how faith-based organizations can use their property to support their mission.”

Cases like these show why stronger religious liberty protections are needed in our Commonwealth. This is why The Family Foundation continues to support religious liberty legislation, including the strengthening of Kentucky's Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Last session, Rep. TJ Roberts filed HB 170, which would strengthen religious liberty across the Commonwealth, but sadly, House leadership did not give it any movement. That bill will be back in the coming Kentucky legislative session, and it will continue to be a top priority for The Family Foundation.

Father, as the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments and rule on this case in the summer of 2027, may they rule rightly and protect religious liberty. Lord, empower the attorneys who will be defending the Missionaries of St. John the Baptist with Your wisdom and insight. Father, may a legislative measure be passed in this upcoming legislative session here in Kentucky to strengthen religious liberty in our Commonwealth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

IVF and Surrogacy are called the Wild West of the public policy realm. There are currently no laws in Kentucky regulating IVF, and only one partially regulating surrogacy. Along with that, many Christians don't know what to think about either of these practices and even among those that have thought about it, there are some disagreements.

In this first video, Justin Warriner explains what IVF is and gives some principle to help Christians think about it biblically.

The Kentucky Christian Education Network (KY CEN), a new division of The Family Foundation, is launching a national campaign to promote President Trump’s new Education Freedom Tax Credit and the Christian Education Network Scholarship Granting Organization, known as CEN SGO.

The campaign, titled “Stop Settling, Expect More” began airing Oct. 1 and runs through the end of the year. The campaign will introduce families across Kentucky and the country to CEN SGO and the new federal Education Freedom Tax Credit, which takes effect January 1, 2027.

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” – Proverbs 14:34

The 2026 midterm elections are quickly approaching, as they will be held on November 3rd. The importance of the November elections cannot be overstated. In Kentucky, voters will decide the races for U.S. Senate, Congress, and other important races, including state legislative races.

Today, October 5th, is the last day for Kentuckians to register to vote ahead of the November midterms. There are multiple ways to register to vote. Registering can be completed online, through the mail, or by returning voter registration cards to your local County Clerk’s office.

By 4:00 pm local time, online registration must be completed in order to be able to vote in November. If using the mail to register to vote, the registration must be postmarked October 5th or earlier.
