Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating the incredible talent, creativity, and Commitment of some of Lexington's youth at the Historic Lyric Theatre!
From dance and music to powerful expressions of creativity, each performer reminded us why creating spaces for our youth MATTERS!

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful judges, Angela Roberts, Jennifer Walker, Maya McCutchen, Nemo Ward, and Ciara Johnson, for sharing their time and expertise!
Special appreciation to our amazing performers:
Allegro Dance Project • Sky Rawlings • TG Thunderous Praise Team • African American Ballet Troupe • Annajoy Donkor • Princess Ocansey • KayLynn Ayers • McKenzie Woodard

Also, to our special guest, Tzeying Wu with the Chamber Initiative, thank you for sharing your gift with us!
And to our special co-host, two of our very own Neighborhood Youth Council members, Logan Barbour and Mia Barber!

We were also proud to recognize our Shine On Award recipients!
Congratulations to Operation Be You, Inc., Junior Advisors, Kamilah Harris, Annajoy Donkor, KayLynn Ayers, Jhziah Dixon, and Nakiyah Sharp!
Your leadership, dedication, creativity, and contributions to our community deserve to be celebrated. Thank you for being examples of what happens when young people are empowered to make a difference!

To our families, Council Members; CM Morton and CM Lynch, community partners, volunteers, PFY Board members and everyone who came out to support our youth... THANK YOU!

At Partners for Youth, we believe our youth deserve more than just an opportunity to participate. They deserve opportunities to SHINE!
Until next time, Lexington!

Did you know?

What had happened was… Claudette was already making history. 👑 At just 15, she refused to give up her seat—nine months before Rosa Parks.
