Thank you to Total Demolition for removing this home edition for a disabled Veteran! This Veteran paid a large amount of money only to be left with an addition that was not safe, finished, or up to code. Thankful for companies that come in and donate their labor like Total Demolition.

A new roof is finally a reality for Cindy after dealing with water pouring into her home for over four years! Thank you to A Godsend Roofing LLC and all of the donors that made this happen. It was a long three months trying to raise the funding for these materials, but it has been worth the wait to see the relief this is giving her. Next we will be looking for a framer, plumber, drywaller, painter, insulator, and flooring installer to replace the kitchen and bathrooms that were severely damaged by years of water damage!

I met Cindy 3 months ago after a friend told me about her situation. She has numerous leaks in her roof leading to sever damage within her home. She isn’t a stranger to her neighborhood as she is often seen taking meals to the sick and then taking them to their doctors appointments. She has beaten cancer three previous times and has an upcoming surgery to remove more cancer spots. I am trying to help her get a new roof as the deteriorating living conditions are not idea for her medical diagnosis. The cost for materials is $12,000 and the labor is being donated by A Godsend Roofing LLC. Funding has been a huge struggle this year so we are looking to the community for support. Cindy is the first to call me and tell me that she held her own fundraiser by selling some of her things. During a neighborhood yard sale, she was able to raise over $1000. So I’m crying out to you to help us raise this funding to help Cindy. The total amount needed is $25,000 to restore the bathrooms, give her running water, and a new kitchen where the largest roof leaks have been. A few weeks ago we posted a video of water pouring inside of a home. These are more photos of inside of Cindy’s house. Cindy was renting a space in the back part of her home in exchange for some renovation work. This man ripped out the back end of her home including the plumbing and then got addicted to drugs and threatened her life. She immediately removed him from her home and when he left, he stole all of the materials to put her home back together. The numerous roof leaks throughout the home then began taking its toll on the interior. Cindy is a 3X cancer survivor and is often found cooking meals for the sick in her neighborhood or giving them rides to their doctors appointments. She is always putting others before her own needs. The plumbing is disconnected in her home so the water has been shut off for some time. As you can see in the photos, she has over a hundred milk jugs and 2 liters filled with water to use.

Our hope is to replace the roof, restore the plumbing and water, and give her an entire new kitchen so she can continue to serve others in need in her neighborhood. The materials for the roof is $12,000 and the labor is being donated by A Godsend Roofing LLC. The new kitchen is being donated by SL Designs. We need to repair the roof first in order to restore the interior of the home. Please help us by making a tax deductible donation on our website to help purchase these much needed materials!
