We have a number of opportunities available that give everyone a chance to say THANK YOU to our troops.

A huge THANK YOU to Thomas and the wonderful team at Sew-a-Lot for hosting a sewing bee at their beautiful store yesterday!

They generously donated several yards of fabric, and their amazing customers put that fabric to good use by sewing 60 pillowcases for our deployed troops!

We are so grateful for their generosity, hospitality, and the time everyone gave to support Military Missions. Every pillowcase is made with love and will bring a little bit of home to someone serving far away. Thank you, Sew-a-Lot, for going beyond the yellow ribbon with us!

A HUGE thank you to Eveleen B for her incredibly generous donation of care package items!

Eveleen went right down our needs list and brought in AAALLLLLLLLL these goodies for our deployed troops! She picked up gum, cocoa mix, granola bars, floss, candy, puzzle books, and so much more.

What an amazing way to help us fill care packages with things our service members can use and enjoy while they’re away from home. We are so grateful for the time, generosity, and thoughtfulness that went into this donation.

A HUGE THANK YOU to our friend, Courtney, in Georgia!

As part of her Harriet Tubman Award Project with American Heritage Girls, Courtney led her group in making these BEAUTIFUL pillowcases to be shared with deployed service members through Military Missions.

We are so grateful for the time, creativity, and heart that Courtney and these amazing girls put into this project. What a wonderful way to serve others and show our military that they are remembered and appreciated—no matter how far away they may be!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone at Christ the King Cathedral for their generous donation of Ziplock bags! ❤️🇺🇸

Ziplock bags may not be the first thing people think of when donating to a military care package organization, but they are one of those behind-the-scenes essentials that we use every single day.

We use them to organize snacks, hygiene items, and other supplies while packing care packages, helping everything stay neat and protected during shipping. Once the packages arrive, our deployed troops often reuse the bags to keep their personal belongings dry, clean, and organized while they're away from home.

It's a simple item that serves a big purpose long after the care package is opened.

HELP NEEDED!

Can you imagine the smile a simple piece of candy can bring when you're thousands of miles from home? 🍬

For our deployed service members, it's more than just candy.

It's a reminder that someone back home is thinking about them. It's a little taste of home after a long day. It's something they can tuck in a pocket, enjoy later, or even share with a fellow soldier.

Right now, Military Missions is running low on individually wrapped hard candy, and we need your help to keep including this special treat in our care packages.

🍬 Werther's Original

We had such a wonderful time welcoming this amazing group from Our Redeemer Lutheran Church!

They delivered a generous collection of donated items from their donation drive, assembled personal care bags, and colored heartfelt greeting sheets for our deployed troops.

It's inspiring to see them investing in the next generation by teaching their young people the importance of service, kindness, and generosity. Thank you for making a difference and helping us send encouragement to those who serve our country. ❤️🇺🇸

🧵🐝 Our Sewing Bees Have Been Busy... and We Need More Fabric! 💙

Thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteers, Operation Pillowcase is in full swing! Our Sewing Bees have been hard at work creating beautiful pillowcases that will be tucked inside our Operation SEND Christmas care packages for deployed troops.

The only problem? We've almost run out of fabric! 🪡

We're looking for donations of 100% cotton fabric in any pattern—patriotic, seasonal, novelty, bright, or fun prints are all welcome! Every yard donated helps us create another pillowcase that brings a little comfort and encouragement to a service member spending the holidays away from home.

🛍️ Prefer to let us shop? Gift cards are a wonderful way to help! We can use gift cards from Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Walmart, or Visa to purchase the fabric and supplies we need.

Every donation—whether it's fabric or a gift card—helps us continue this special mission and lets our volunteers keep the Sewing Bees buzzing.

📍 Fabric donations and gift cards can be dropped off at the Military Missions office during business hours, or send us a message if you'd like to arrange another time.

💙 Help Us Brighten a Veteran's Birthday! 🎉

Military Missions is needing a few special items to help us create birthday gift bags for the Veterans at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, and we'd love your help!

We're currently in need of:
🧴 Full-size bottles of lotion (unopened)
📖 Appropriate magazines such as National Geographic, Reader's Digest, outdoor, travel, history, classic car, wildlife, and similar interest magazines.

These simple gifts help make each Veteran's birthday feel a little more special and remind them that their community is thinking of them.

If you'd like to donate, items can be dropped off at the Military Missions office during regular business hours. Every donation helps us celebrate the men and women who have served our country with the honor and appreciation they deserve.
