SCAPA Friends of the Arts School Community We are the Friends of the Arts School (FOAS) who support the School for the Creative and Performing Arts (SCAPA) at Bluegrass & Lafayette High School.

What does it take to build a massive, broadway-style musical from scratch? 🎭

Ask the nearly 80 incredibly dedicated Fayette County Public Schools high school students who are spending their summer vacation inside the theater!

The FCPS Fine Arts Department is incredibly proud to present “Seussical” as our third annual summer musical production. Students from every corner of our district have come together as cast and crew for an intensive, three-week theatrical bootcamp to bring this spectacular show to life.

Bring the whole family out to support local youth arts and experience the magic.

We were excited to have so many of our SCAPA at Bluegrass graduates return to our halls last week for our 3rd annual Senior Walk, and can’t wait to see all they (and their LHS classmates) do in the future! This is not goodbye, just a heartfelt “see you later” because !

🗽🏙️🍎 SCAPA 8th Graders celebrated the completion of their time at SCAPA at Bluegrass last week with a class trip to New York City! In addition to the usual sights, they were also treated to a very special talk-back after the show with 5 cast members of Broadway’s “Hamilton”, including Donald Webber, Jr. (Aaron Burr) whose wife Rebecca Covington Webber is also a successful Broadway actress and a SCAPA alumna. Memories to last a lifetime!
