The Little Rooster Run is coming back to Glencoe this October — and this year, we're turning up the challenge! 🔥

🏃‍♂️ THE LAST MAN STANDING EVENT 🏃‍♀️

Think you’ve got what it takes to outlast everyone else?

This isn’t your typical race. The Last Man Standing event challenges runners to keep going round after round until only one runner remains. There’s no racing the clock to finish first — you simply have to be the one who can keep showing up and keep running.

A huge congratulations to William Osborne for taking home the overall win at the 2026 Grant County Fair Mile with an outstanding time of 5:09! 🥇🔥

What a great performance on a rainy morning and an impressive way to continue the tradition of one of Grant County’s longest-running races.

The Grant County Fair Mile has been a local tradition since the 1980s, bringing together runners of all ages for one of our community's longest-standing races. For decades, it has created memories, sparked friendly competition, and become a part of Grant County Fair history.

🏃 Help Us Bring the Grant County Fair Mile Memories Back to Life! 🏃

For decades, the Grant County Fair Mile has been a cherished tradition. Over the years, the race moved from the roads around the Grant County Fairgrounds in Crittenden, to the new fairgrounds, and eventually to the Grant County High School track. While each location served its purpose, many would agree it just wasn’t the same as running a true road mile.

Now, Ridge Runners Racing Inc. is honored to carry on this long-standing community tradition. Our goal is simple: bring back the nostalgia, excitement, and hometown atmosphere that made the Grant County Fair Mile so special.

This year, we’re returning to a true road course that will start and finish at the fairgrounds, giving runners the chance to experience the event the way so many remember it.

We’re also honored to welcome the race’s founder and original Race Director, Jerry Thornton, as our Honorary Race Director. Before the starting gun, Jerry will share the story of how this beloved race began and why it has meant so much to Grant County over the years.

Whether you’ve run this race for decades or are lining up for the very first time, we hope you’ll join us as we celebrate the past and build a bright future for this special tradition. ❤️🏃

Hello Big Rex's Bottle Rocket 5K Participants,

On behalf of the Ridge Runners Board of Directors, thank you for joining us for the inaugural Big Rex's Bottle Rocket 5K and Kids Fun Run! Whether you ran, walked, volunteered, or cheered someone on, you helped make our first event an incredible success.

We hope you enjoyed celebrating Independence Day with us and had a great race experience. Your participation helps us continue our mission of sharing our love of distance running with others through quality community events.
