After fourteen years, a new chapter begins.
Today, founding Board Chair Andrew Brennen announced he is stepping down from his role and passing the baton to Zoë Jenkins, a longtime KSVT student leader, alumna, and champion for youth voice.
Since 2012, KSVT students have helped secure a student seat on the Kentucky Board of Education, expanded college scholarship access, led groundbreaking research, launched an independent youth-led organization, and fought for more just and democratic schools across Kentucky.
Andrew's leadership helped build an organization rooted in a simple belief: students deserve real power, not just a seat at the table.
As Andrew steps away, we're excited to welcome Zoë as KSVT's next Board Chair. Zoë joined KSVT as a middle school student nearly a decade ago and has helped shape the organization through some of its most important moments. She now takes on this role with the experience, vision, and commitment to carry the work forward.
KSVT was built to be bigger than any one person. This transition is proof.
Thank you, Andrew. Congratulations, Zoë. ❤️
