School may be out soon, but POP Club is officially IN for the summer! ☀️🍓🌽

We are so excited to kick off another season of the Power of Produce Club at the Lexington Farmers Market beginning Saturday, June 6th!
Join us every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday all summer long for fresh produce tastings, hands-on activities, food education, and POP tokens that kids can use to shop for fruits and veggies directly from local farmers. 💵🥕🧑‍🌾

POP Club is one of our favorite ways to help youth connect with local food, try something new, and build confidence at the farmers market while supporting Kentucky growers at the same time. 💚

Cup Ramen Bar at FoodChain! We have regular and gluten free ramen cups and tons of fresh house made toppings to add. Great for a quick lunch, afterschool snack, or Grab-N-Go!

🛒If you haven't had a chance to stop by the Neighborhood Green Grocery- Saturday is your day! Open 10-6- 501 W 6th St, come up the ramp to the door that says "Grocery!"

Our dietetics intern will be sampling a Peanut Butter and Jelly Power Bites made with Stepping Stone Farm strawberry jam! We will also have some samples available of Mo's Herbal tea with orange and ginger!

Grab and go shelf is stocked, adding strawberry pecan, coconut chia pudding and some fresh house made Cooler-Butternut-Ranch Chain-oritos!

We have new FoodChain X Matchstick Goods handmade ceramics, Mrs. Ella's Great Eggspectations eggs, local asparagus from Greenwood Farm, DreamTime Market Gardens, green garlic, radishes and lettuce, Rootbound Farm greens, Cleav's Family Market sweet potatoes, red potatoes, cucumbers, and cabbage, Salad Days Farm salad mixes, and so much more!

We are restocking our high demand freeze dried berry shelf and adding a new tea blend from Grow With Mo, and putting some Rad Ramen mix on the shelves: a dried veggie packet with tons of local mushrooms from our friends at Mountain House Mushrooms and , dried butternut (of course), carrots, garlic, onion, ginger, and sea purslane from the FC Farm!

📦Today is Build-A-Box: A Choice-Based Free Food Pantry at the Coolavin Park Shelter
📍Location: 500 West Sixth St (indoor park shelter)
🕠Thursday, May 21, 3:30-6:30pm
🥬Fresh Ingredients: choice of assorted fruits, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, dairy products, fresh eggs
🥫Shelf stable ingredients: assorted canned veggies, tuna, penne pasta, bread, ketchup, chicken chips, and breakfast pastries

We will be there rain or shine, but it may be easier for folks who can wait in their cars and the pull up instead of lining up in the rain! We will have one tent outside for collecting boxes, but the pantry set up is all indoors. Thank you for your patience!

We are still glowing from !

Thank you to the FoodChain, Holly Hill, and Fasig-Tipton staff, our board, and this year's planning committee for pulling off the biggest F.E.A.S.T. EVER!

This would not be possible without the investment from our sponsors, especially Visit LEX who has believed in and invested in this vision since day 1!

There would be no event without the incredible talent of so many chefs who travel from near and far to create insanely delicious bites out of the fantastic bounty of Kentucky Proud farm fresh products! The farmers delivered and so did every chef!

Grateful for our musical performances to keep everyone on the dance floor- from Yapa out of Louisville, Joslyn & The Sweet Compression , and Carrie ThaCurator- there was never a dull moment!

We are honored each year to have so many wonderful volunteers, helping guide parking, registering guests, slapping fish, and helping run food! This event would not be possible without their love and selfless service!

Every year we have incredible photography from , TOPS in Lexington , and Seriously Sabrina Photographyouslysabrinaphoto - but this year we added a layer of being a photo gallery as well! Thank you to Erica Chambers for bringing her project Dirt Pearls to FEAST this year!

We had so many wonderful contributions to the silent auction this year from local artists! Live horse drawing from , Silas House's poetry, painting and so much more! From Chef tours to local farm CSA's this was an silent auction that was not just about fundraising, but showcasing all the talented artists of our region!

Shout out to Harper Hall and Dupree Catering + Events for making FEAST Eve magical, delectable, and so uplifting for all our VIP Night Chefs!

Truly, our community partners are part of what makes this night so special. So many of the school groups, youth partners, farmers, social workers, and advocates who are part of the fabric of our work who were able to come and celebrate the beauty of a local food system for all!

Finally- the night was completed by our hype team- the engaging Ka'Sondra Brown and Tiffany El-Amin. They kept the crowd knowing what was going on, they uplifted spirits, and brought so much energy to the night!
