Something exciting is coming to the YMCA of Central Kentucky this fall! 🎉

The Y has signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire PROOF Fitness in Lexington, turning both facilities in downtown and on Tates Creek into YMCAs.

As the Downtown Proof Fitness location transitions to a YMCA facility, we will begin moving memberships and classes currently based at High Street to the new location. The High Street YMCA will officially close on October 30, 2026. This acquisition helps us keep our High Street community together while expanding the YMCA’s mission, programs and services across the greater Lexington area. 💙

The organization is also taking time to celebrate High Street’s over six decades of impact and honoring the generations of members, staff, and volunteers who have been part of its history. Stay tuned for commemorative activities to be announced!
