Paws 4 the Cause

10/11/2026

Our Barktoberfest event was a BIG washout due to Mother Nature yesterday, but many people still stopped by to support us, which we are so thankful for!
We would like to thank all our hardworking volunteers who stayed all day in the pouring rain to help us raise money for the Duke's Extreme Medical Emergency Fund. Thank you to our vendors who showed up to show their support. Thank you to Liquor Barn for having us. Thank you to Feeder Supply for supporting the Halloween contest with prizes. And thank you to everyone who donated!
Paws 4 the Cause did not come anywhere near the goal we needed to keep helping extreme medical cases, and we need everyone to help get the word out so we can rebuild the fund and continue taking on these cases.
Without this fund, we will have to say no to animals in shelters who need extreme medical care. The shelters will have no choice but to put these animals down. That is the truth, and it is truly breaking our hearts. We want to be able to save as many lives as we can. 💔
Please share this with corporations that might be able to donate and help our team save lives.
Here are the ways you can donate:

We need your support now more than ever. Every donation and every share can help us save another life. ❤️🐾

Paws 4 the Cause is seeking donations through an online auction to mitigate a funding shortage caused by a rise in severe medical cases and economic challenges facing pet owners.

INTAKE IS CLOSED AT THIS TIME.... No other lives can be saved until we have FOSTERS OR ADOPTERS !!!!!! Paws 4 the Cause has already stepped up for many that needed help. We need fosters or adopters to step up.

💙 Please open your heart and your home to a rescue dog.

Fosters must be located in the Lexington, Georgetown, or surrounding areas so we can easily transport dogs to their upcoming veterinary appointments.

🐾 Fosters have the first opportunity to adopt if it’s the right fit for both the dog and the foster family.

We also have many wonderful dogs currently waiting in our kennel for foster homes. Every dog that goes into a foster home opens a kennel space, allowing us to save another life. We receive hundreds of pleas for help every month, and animals across Kentucky are in crisis. Without fosters, we simply cannot rescue more dogs.

Ready to foster? Please visit paws4thecause.com and complete a foster application.

Looking to adopt? Fill out an adoption application on our website.

If you’re unable to foster or adopt right now, please consider making a donation. Every dollar helps provide food, medical care, and supplies for these dogs as they begin their recovery.

If you have room in your home and love in your heart, now is the time to step up. Together, we can give these dogs the second chance they deserve. Features are just a few of our sweet babies that are seeking fosters or adopters! 💙🐾💗
